Any bonafide Yoruba should be able to dance some of those steps, and also understand the drums. If I dance under a regalia, very few people will believe I’m the one making the steps. I can still tell the sound of drums till date, I used to hit Sakara way back 🌚

The ancestors are back. This dance steps are not taught anywhere anymore. The last time I saw people dance like this was amongst elderly Yoruba women in their 80s around 1997 at a Sango festival in Ibadan. To see a young girl around 7 or 8, doing this flawlessly is scary 😦
