This is my thesis on $blowfish @blowfishbot.
Blowfish is a token launch platform for Solana that automates the entire lifecycle of launching a new token through bonding curves. Think of it as infrastructure that lets you (or an AI agent) programmatically create and manage token launches similar to pump.fun, but with more control and automation.
What Problem Does This Solve?
So you want to launch a token on Solana. Traditionally you'd need to:
- Deploy the token contract yourself
- Set up a liquidity pool
- Provide initial liquidity (which can get expensive)
- Hope people actually trade it
- Deal with bots sniping the launch
Blowfish automates all of that and adds some smart mechanics on top.
Bonding Curves;
Think of a bonding curve like this:
- First 100 people buy at $0.01
- Next 100 buy at $0.02
- Next 100 buy at $0.04
And so on...
The price automatically goes up as more people buy. No need for a traditional liquidity pool initially. The curve IS the market maker.
When someone sells? Price goes back down the curve. It's all algorithmic.
The Full Lifecycle:
- You create a token with a bonding curve. Set your parameters - what market cap you're targeting, how the curve behaves, anti-bot protections, etc.
- People buy and sell on the curve. Price moves up and down based on buys/sells. You're collecting fees the whole time (80% of trading fees go to you, 20% to the platform - which is actually a pretty good split).
- Here's where it gets cool. When your token hits the market cap target you set, it automatically migrates to a full AMM (automated market maker) - basically a normal Uniswap-style liquidity pool.
Why does this matter? Because bonding curves are great for price discovery and early trading, but eventually you want deeper liquidity and integration with the broader DeFi ecosystem.
Why "Built for AI Agents"?
This is the interesting part. The whole system outputs JSON and is designed to be called programmatically.
Imagine an AI agent that:
- Monitors social sentiment
- Decides to launch a memecoin when it detects trending topics
- Configures the bonding curve parameters
- Launches the token
- Monitors trading
- Collects fees
All without human intervention
That's the use case. It's infrastructure for autonomous token launches.
Bot protection is built in:
- Decaying fees: Launch with high fees that decrease over time. Bots hate paying high fees, so they wait. By the time fees are low, regular people have had a chance to buy.
- Rate limiting: Can't buy massive amounts in the first few seconds
- Protects normal users from getting wrecked by bot frontrunning
Most token launch platforms give you like 3 options. This gives you full control:
- Different curve shapes (exponential, linear, custom)
- Fee structures you define
- How LP tokens get distributed after graduation
- When migration happens
- Anti-bot parameters
It's basically the developer/power-user version of pump.fun.
You get 80% of trading fees. Platform takes 20%.
Those fees can be in:
SOL
USDC
Your own token (if you're bullish on it)
Fees accumulate during the bonding curve phase and you can claim them whenever.
Who's This Really For?
- Primary audience: People building AI agent systems (OpenClaw, Moltbot frameworks mentioned) that autonomously launch and manage tokens.
- Secondary audience: Developers who want to build their own launch platforms or integrate bonding curves without starting from scratch.
Not really for: Average person who just wants to launch a token (they'd probably use pump.fun's UI instead).
