For years I've heard Dave Metlzer say "it worked with this crowd" as if that makes it good and if you don't like it you're stuck in the past.
Just because one thing got a pop with one small crowd on one day doesn't mean it "worked". It means it got a reaction from that one crowd

Headlining a show means nothing in this era. JBL should know that its not like Hogan and Austin's day. These shows are sold on the brand and most of the tickets are gone before a single match is announced. Its just about seeing WWE. Not seeing Roman Reigns.
This is the problem with you retrospective clowns on this app. Not ONE SINGLE PERSON felt this way at the time and the payoff at the end was the serious tension being cut with comedy and it didnt turn Vince face or Austin heel one single bit.
BANG 3:16 was one angle too far. Taking revenge for his firing, Stone Cold threatened to murder his boss. However, so disturbing was the scene in which the baying mob cheered him on, Austin succeeded only in making his tyrannical boss sympathetic. Counterproductive booking. #WWE
