Our first in-person Anaesthetist in Training Representative Group (ATRG) meeting of the year.
The new workshop format fuelled some excellent discussions around LTFT, TOOT, IDTs and EDT (and many other acronyms!)

🚨IMPORTANT THREAD FOR ALL NHS WORKERS🚨
You may not be aware that today it was announced that NHS Practitioner Health won’t be accepting new registrations from secondary care staff needing help in a mental health crisis as of this coming Monday (15th April 24) 1/🧵

This is such a regressive step - I've accessed PHP three times over my training with severe clinical depression. Being able to access rapid psychiatric care was instrumental in my recovery and got me back to work sooner than if this service wasn't available. Total false economy.
I accessed @NHSPracHealth after miscarriages, partners brain tumour, doing final FRCA during that and then failing the FFICM OSCE whilst pregnant - where would I be without them? In a much worse place I suspect.
This is a mistake.

ANRO now down to two members of staff. How can they be expected to run a whole national recruitment for a speciality effectively without further support @AmandaPritchard ?

For the second time this year, I find myself saying sorry for ANRO and saying it’s unacceptable.
They need to run on more than 3 people and have proper guidance. I’m on mat leave now but I really hope @DrMattTuck @DavidUrwin94 @RCoANews can make some headway in to this. – at Hove, England
Time to vote yes once again.

I don’t care what mitigators anyone throws at me
Any qualified doctor should not be earning approx 20% less than the median wage in a sensible society
There is nothing median about the ability, hard work & now debt of medics
💯 support and strike hard friends

'We're blackmailing those that are maintaining the health of the country.'
With junior doctors starting a three-day strike, this @TomSwarbrick1 caller argues: 'If somebody owes you money and you let them off for a bit, you're still going to ask for that money back.'
Update from @RCoANews re the EGM resolutions. Broad implementation has been sorted but finer details still in the works. I do think they rep what our members want. Shout out to @AnaesUnited who kickstarted this and brought member views to the forefront.
