Our volunteers go above & beyond. We are so proud of our volunteers who have worked hard to fundraise over £17,000 above their targets. This is a monumental achievement that we can't thank our volunteers enough for. Just £5 more from 1 volunteer alone can make all the difference.
We love, love, love seeing fundraising in action like this from Lauren. It takes organisation, planning, painting skills and the support of friends and family to make events like this happen and that's before Lauren joins us in Uganda in August! #fundraising
Applying the finishing touches 🎨 It's that moment before opening day when the playgrounds our volunteer have been working hard to build come to life. Here's a snap of one of our playgrounds in Kenya getting ready to open! #whatwedo #internationalvolunteering
Sometimes we need a moment of gratitude. Meetings for Project Play often look like this. Beautiful views and an opportunity for our volunteers and staff to come together and debrief about the day and the tasks ahead. #gratitude
Imagine being part of a playground open day, seeing your hard work in action as volunteers, children & the local community celebrate play! Apply to be our Volunteers Coordinator for opportunities to travel to East Africa for up to 3 months of the year. playactioninternational.org/…
It's all hands on deck in Kenya 🔨 It takes a whole team of amazing volunteers to make the playgrounds we build come to life. Each and every volunteer contributes to what soon becomes a play space that children and communities will value for years to come! ❤️ #teamwork
We love hearing how enriching #volunteer experiences have been. For Marissa, whose completed a 2-week volunteer project in Uganda, she's increased her knowledge and skills as a Primary Education Student. She says "I found the overall experience life changing and very enjoyable."
It's not just the weather in the UK hotting up that's making us smile at Play Action. Open days are a go as our first playground builds come together...when everyone get's to celebrate their hard work & the endless play opportunities for children in the communities we support!
