“Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”
~ Vladimir Lenin
The best article I’ve found explaining the quarter-century march of CRT through American K-12 education.

Aren’t enough states participating for this compact to take effect.
If it does, it’ll be shot down by the SC.
Also, states can withdraw from the compact at any time (except for the final 6mos before a presidential election).
So when Rs win back the trifecta, we can pull out.

Crowley speedrunning the Abigail Spanberger path.
Campaign as a Moderate, then immediately govern as a radical and attempt to permanently disenfranchise 50% of your state.

I wonder why they didn’t run on this.🤔
Replying to @MollyBeck
Wisconsin could overwhelmingly elect one presidential candidate yet award all 10 electoral votes to the candidate who LOST Wisconsin. After years of warning about election subversion, Democrats now want to permanently undermine our elections through state law.
Wisconsin voters should be outraged.

This is essentially the complete disenfranchisement of Wisconsin voters in Presidential elections.

Capitalism is perhaps the most misunderstood economic system in history, largely because it is routinely blamed for the consequences of violating its own principles.
Capitalism means private property, individual rights, voluntary trade, and a government limited to protecting those rights. It is a system in which individuals are free to produce, compete, trade, and prosper without requiring political permission or favoritism.
Cronyism, by contrast, means government granting economic privileges through subsidies, bailouts, tariffs, regulations designed to protect favored businesses, and other forms of political favoritism.
Socialism, communism, fascism, theocracy, absolute monarchy, feudalism, mercantilism, corporatism, and cronyism differ in their doctrines, methods, and objectives. Yet all have permitted political authority or privileged groups to override individual economic freedom.
The fundamental distinction is between voluntary exchange and political coercion.
Under capitalism, economic success depends on creating value that others voluntarily choose to purchase. Under cronyism, political influence can substitute for earning that success through trade.
This brings us to the mixed economy, where elements of capitalism coexist with government intervention, redistribution, regulation, and political favoritism.
When intervention produces unintended consequences, critics routinely attribute those failures to capitalism simply because they occurred in an economy containing private businesses and markets.
That is a fundamental error of causation.
The existence of private businesses does not make every government policy capitalist. Nor does the existence of wealthy businessmen make political favoritism a product of free markets.
A businessman who earns a fortune through voluntary trade and one who obtains privileges through political coercion are operating on fundamentally different principles.
Pure laissez-faire capitalism has never been fully implemented. Yet to the extent economic freedom has existed, it has demonstrated its extraordinary capacity to create wealth, increase productivity, encourage innovation, and raise living standards.
And here lies the great irony.
The remaining economic freedom continues to generate much of the wealth that makes government intervention and redistribution possible, while helping cushion society against their destructive consequences.
Critics then demand further intervention to remedy problems caused or aggravated by previous interventions, perpetuating a cycle in which political power expands while capitalism receives the blame.
Before blaming capitalism for any economic problem, establish whether that problem arose from voluntary exchange or the coercive exercise of political power.
You cannot reasonably condemn a system for the consequences of violating its principles while ignoring the benefits produced when those principles are respected.
Every great story has a major setback around the 75% mark.
That was the midterms.
Trump’s not going anywhere. And as he says, “lock in, patriots.”
We’ve got a happy ending to secure.

Trump retained a zen-like calm. Hegseth starts patriot-posting. And Stephen Miller is now the official wartime consigliere.
And just like that, 72-hours later, the mood has shifted for the better. You can't keep MAGA down.

Clinton lost 54 seats in the 1994 midterm election.
Obama lost 63 seats in the 2010 midterm election.
Trump just lost 41 seats in the 2026 midterm election.
It’s not exactly the historic event you believe it to be.

Abdul El-Sayed is now saying he won’t work with Democrats & is starting his own party.
He ran as a Democrat, used the primary process, & accepted Democratic support to get elected. Now that he has the office, he’s walking away from the party that put him there.
He needed the Democratic machine to win he no longer needs it to hold power
You can’t make this up
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
No reports show Abdul El-Sayed saying he won’t work with Democrats or starting a new party. As Democratic senator-elect, he launched Habibi PAC, a leadership PAC for allies to influence Democratic politics.

It’s clear to me now (as a huge DeSantis supporter, I was in denial then) that no one, no matter how conservative or competent or well liked, was going to defeat Trump. Especially after he was indicted.
2028 is a whole new ballgame. Let the jockeying begin!
#RubioDeSantis2028
So the GOP suffered a big loss and we’re going back to the DeSantis well again to help us lick our wounds and feel victorious.
He’s like the perfect boyfriend women claim they want but won’t actually date.
Wouldn’t have made any difference.
Voters in WI voted to raise their own taxes and fees, voted to consider adding toll roads, and voted for a guy who appears completely incompetent.
Nothing, and I do mean nothing, would’ve changed the result of the election.
Milwaukee County Executive @DavidCCrowley knew about a $4.6 million budget deficit for weeks but hid it until the day after he was elected Governor of Wisconsin. It's bad enough to be a corrupt liar; corruptly lying about your staggering incompetence is next-level pathetic.

Texas = soon to be a sanctuary state.
Ugh.
Understand the implications of what happened in Texas last night.
Gina Hinojosa has called on Gov. Abbott to end state & local cooperation with ICE & she can order that on day one.
Hinojosa voted against the 2017 SB 4 as a TX state rep. The bill was essentially a sanctuary cities ban and required TX law enforcement to cooperate with ICE detainers. She then voted against another SB 4 in 2023, which made it a state crime to cross illegally into Texas.
Should there be another border crisis in coming years, there will likely be no resistance from Texas at the border. No Texas DPS, no TX National Guard, no razor wire or water buoys, and no Operation Lone Star, which Hinojosa called a “dog and pony show” and “political theater”.
Remember when 15,000 Haitians surged illegally into Del Rio, TX in 2021 under the international bridge? That was only stopped because Texas DPS responded on Abbott’s orders and physically blocked further crossings by lining up their cruisers to form a wall. The Biden Border Patrol was caught off guard and offered almost no resistance, except for some horseback agents who were falsely slandered for “whipping”.
Additionally, because Republicans failed to pass any legislation codifying President Trump’s border security measures, if Dems take the White House in 2028, that Dem president could, if he/she wants to, reverse every single Trump border security policy immediately upon taking office because they were all done at the executive level, and they can order Border Patrol to go back to a passive catch & release policy like we saw under Biden.

Everyone wants to weigh in with their Most Astute Take™ on the midterms.
But no one wants to even factor in the glaringly obvious: the US has been under the most sustained information attack by foreign states in decades, if not generations.
Foreign adversaries have learned to weaponize the very protections and safeguards – First Amendment, Section 230, privacy laws – that make discourse online possible. They use our shield as their weapon.
These actors have learned that they don't need to "hack Facebook" — as the press claimed Russia did in 2016. (In fact, that had no measurable impact.) They found that they don't need to infiltrate voting systems.
Instead, they have learned to focus on seeding poisonous narratives into virtually every open information system online. It's not only effective, but it's remarkably efficient.
The influence happens in various ways:
1. Bot manipulation – Accounts/shows that see enormous engagement surges on particular issues are motivated to double down on the messaging that the bot swarms respond to.
2. Direct incentives – Money and influence. This comes in the form of corporate financing, advertising deals materially larger than their market value. (Did Hasan Piker go to China just for kicks?)
3. Information poisoning – Bringing fringe narratives into the mainstream by seeding them into open, trusted platforms (e.g. Wikipedia).
4. Discourse radicalization – Actors tied to foreign adversarial states pull the discourse further to the fringe. There is no accountability mechanism, so these actors are free to not just say, but endlessly repeat, the most extreme, toxic, and false claims.
5. Network building – As one example: the Singham Network can build, fund, and run ideological networks with alarming success rates.
These are broad categories; they break down into thousands of smaller tactics.
Further, they innovate. Foreign adversaries have an ability to test and experiment, since state budgets are virtually unlimited relative to the cost.
Even more damagingly, there is almost no mainstream journalistic reporting on, or investigation into, malign influence by foreign actors in information spaces.
Can we name a single public investigation into information operations by US adversaries like China in recent months?
(It's as if, after a decade of "Russia, Russia, Russia," the press simply forgot this is a thing.)
Even in the rare cases where we catch and expose these activities, there is almost never consequences:
Example 1 - Recall the right-wing influencer taking $10m per year from the Russian government, whose posts seemed design to sowed division? Far from consequences, this individual was entirely let off the hook and even invited back into the country.
Example 2 – Al Jazeera's digital network, AJ+, was ordered by DOJ to register as a foreign agent – and simply ignored the order. Were they shut down? Did their operation even slow down?
Example 3 – Chinese operatives work in plain site on social platforms, disclosing their affiliations while dragging the discourse into the anti-American fringe.
Example 4 – The CCP-linked Singham Network, which funds groups like Code Pink, was exposed in recent months and still functions seamlessly.
Example 5 – Influencers and podcasters traveled to Cuba, apparently coordinating with the Cuban government, and are caught doing so. Have any one of them ceased or even decreased their activities?
WHAT REALLY MATTERS
This is the core imbalance: autocratic states running these operations have no – literally zero – checks on their capabilities:
+ They face no domestic journalistic investigation.
+ There is no Oversight Committee demanding answers.
+ There is no FOIA process to produce information.
+ There is no consequence in rare cases of exposure.
Total freedom to maneuver on the information battlefield.
We think, naively, that because these platforms are owned by US companies and regulated by American bodies that they are "ours."
Nothing could be further from the truth.
I have supported/done poli comms for these kinds of candidates before.
Begging voters to choose competence over rizz is nearly always a losing battle. That’s why I think Rubio/DeSantis would be the winning ticket.
Get RDS in on Rubio’s back, then VP has a natural springboard.
He’s right.
Democrats are not going to like what he just said. One of the loudest voices in the game looks straight into the camera and claims the man they can’t beat in 2028 is already sitting in the Cabinet: sharp, bilingual, “smart as a whip,” and ready at the drop of a hat. While the left plots to take back the House and chase impeachment, he says they’re walking into a trap. He sees no Democrat who can stop this guy, and he lays out exactly why in under two minutes. No hedging, no spin, just one blunt claim that has people nodding along or typing angry replies. Is he right, or is this the most overconfident prediction of the year? The last line is the one everyone will be quoting all week, so stay till the very last second. Then drop your take in the comments.
