Qalqilya: Palestinian Mosque Speaker Calls for Caliphate to Unite Armies and Control Strategic Straits CSPII Commentary: In Qalqilya, a sermon addressing the question, "What do Muslims need to lead the world and break free from the West?" It called on Muslims to control strategic straits—such as Hormuz, Bab al-Mandab, Gibraltar, Suez, and the Bosphorus—for political and military purposes, and urged them to work day and night to establish the Islamic Caliphate, a prospect "the infidels would not welcome". dailymotion.com/video/xb76fi…

The UN is still obsessed with Israel CSPII Commentary: The UN’s fixation on Israel does not exist in a vacuum. It reflects and amplifies a much broader political and ideological obsession across the Islamic world. As CSPII explains in [1] (link in the comment section) hostility toward Israel serves both doctrinal and strategic purposes—Political Islam created the local conflict in the first place and has since worked continuously to transform it into a permanent global cause. jns.org/opinion/column/ben-c…

"Ahead of Durga Puja 2026 in West Bengal – Take a look at how Islamists vandalised pandals between 2017-2026" CSPII Commentary: The Organiser list ties several West Bengal Durga Puja attacks, from the 2014 Burdwan blast to the 2024 Howrah burning of a Durga murti, to mobs treating other gods’ images as things to smash. Koran gives the model in Ibrahim, who “reduced them to fragments, all save the chief of them,” the same precedent Mohammed followed when the idols were cleared from the Kaaba. organiser.org/2026/10/04/384…

Saudi Arabia: Preacher Praises Conquest and Defeat of Unbelievers CSPII Commentary: An Arabic speech by Abdullah al-Basri praises Mohammed’s companions as men through whose blood and sacrifices “the strongholds of unbelief and hypocrisy fell” (هَوَت مَعَاقِلُ الكُفرِ وَالنِّفَاقِ). It says Allah sent them “to conquer lands” (لِفَتحِ البِلادِ), credits them with defeating unbelievers and apostates and toppling Persian and Roman thrones, and presents them as models whose deeds Muslims should emulate. archive.is/DPWUk

Violence Against Women Has No Islamic Legitimacy, Says Muslim World League Chief CSPII Commentary: That is incorrect. Koran 4:34 permits husbands to beat their wives if they fear they'll rebel, [1] portray them as having low status, Hadith Bukhari Volume 3, Book 34, Number 362 permits the lashing of slave girls, and [2] present them as having low status. afintl.com/en/202609111386

Mayoral candidate Nithya Raman makes her pitch to Muslim voters at the Islamic Center of of Southern California CSPII Commentary: The doctrine behind the demand that Muslims not remain under Kafir authority is older: “Allah will not give the disbelievers any way (of success) against the believers” (Koran 4:141), and believers are told not to take Jews and Christians as awliya (guardian) rather than the believers (Koran 5:51; cf. 3:28, 4:144). Classical law treats rule by non-Muslims as a condition of weakness to be endured or reversed, not as the proper end-state. Appointment to commissions is the soft form of that claim: raise Islamic power inside a Kafir system until the system no longer rules them.' uscannenbergmedia.com/2026/0…

New York's Muslims reclaim their city after 9/11 backlash CSPII Commentary: The article paradoxically focuses on 9/11, while celebrating increasing Islamic political power as "New York's Muslims reclaim their city", more mosques are built, and "the growth of (Islamic) institutional power" is felt. It never reflects on the fact that 9/11 was a prime example of Islamic political power. ✉️ Suggestion for an article, or a terror attack to report? Two recent articles attempt to calm American concerns about Sharia by changing the subject. The first, Salam Al-Marayati’s “Sharia is a framework for Muslims — not a threat to America,” [1] presents Sharia as a spiritual and moral path, a set of ethical objectives supposedly aligned with the U.S. Constitution. The second, “Why this evangelical pastor rejects fear of Shariah,” [2] co-authored with Pastor Jon Fogel, adds an interfaith layer: the Muslim family next door is kind, trustworthy, generous, and loving, and therefore Christians should reject “fear” of Sharia. The argument is emotionally attractive. It is also evasive. No serious critic of Political Islam [3] argues that every Muslim neighbor is a threat, that Islamic families cannot be kind, or that Muslims should be denied the right to pray, fast, give charity, attend mosques, raise families, or live freely under US law. That is a false frame. The real question is not whether Muslims may practice Islam privately without disruption of public life or limiting others by doing so. In America, of course they may. The real question is whether Sharia, as a legal and political doctrine, is accurately described when it is reduced to neighborliness, compassion, “moral objectives,” and constitutional loyalty. The answer is no. The two articles rely on three underlying fallacious assertions [...] 📰 ➡️ Read the full article here: cspii.org/learn-political-is… 📚 Sources: [1] chicago.suntimes.com/other-v… [2] religionnews.com/2026/06/09/… [3] cspii.org/learn-political-is… #CSPII #Christians #Sharia 🤝 Join us: cspii.org/joinus/ ❤️ Donate: cspii.org/donate/ 🔵 About us: cspii.org/about-us/ 🗞️ Newsletter subscription: politicalislam.com/

Lily Jay’s piece about the “secret letter” [1] allegedly written by Mohammed to Christians is a good example of a growing genre of Islamic apologetics aimed at Western Christian audiences: take a nice-sounding fragment, remove the surrounding legal and political tradition, and present it as proof that Islam has always been about protection, tolerance, and, religious freedom. The document she refers to is usually known as the Ashtiname [2] , or the Covenant of Mohammed with the Monks of Mount Sinai (St. Catherine’s Monastery). In popular Islamic apologetics, it is presented as a sweeping charter of Christian protection: churches are not to be destroyed, monks are not to be forced from their monasteries, Christian women are not to be compelled in marriage, and Muslims are supposedly obligated to defend Christians. The problem is not that such a document is uninteresting. It is very interesting. The problem is that Lily Jay’s presentation turns a disputed historical document into a propaganda shortcut. First, the “secret letter” is not secret. It has circulated for centuries, appears in interfaith literature, and is routinely invoked by Islamic apologists and Christian-Muslim dialogue activists. Calling it “secret” gives the viewer the emotional thrill of discovering hidden truth, when in reality the document is part of a long-running controversy over authenticity, transmission, and interpretation. Second, the document is not simply “the exact letter” directly written by Mohammed and preserved unchanged as it may appear from Lily Jay’s presentation. It is a known fact that Mohammed was illiterate [...] 📰 ➡️ Read the full article here: cspii.org/learn-political-is… 📚 Sources: [1] youtube.com/shorts/SOkhmil5e… [2] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashtin… #CSPII #PoliticalIslam #Christians #Dhimmi #Dhimmitude 🤝 Join us: cspii.org/joinus/ ❤️ Donate: cspii.org/donate/ 🔵 About us: cspii.org/about-us/ 🗞️ Newsletter subscription: politicalislam.com/

The Resolution addressed the incompatibility of Sharia law with the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) [2]. Greece, UK, Albania, Azerbaijan and Turkey as well as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) were given a June 2020 deadline to report back on their actions. On January 22, 2019, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted Resolution 2253 [1], a document that explicitly declared Sharia law fundamentally incompatible with democratic values and with the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). It was a legal and moral reckoning based on the European Court of Human Rights' own jurisprudence, specifically the landmark case Refah Partisi v. Turkey, which ruled that "the institution of Sharia law and a theocratic regime are incompatible with the requirements of a democratic society." (PACE, Resolution 2253 (2019), article 6). Resolution 2253 (PACE, Resolution 2253 (2019), article 6) identified specific contradictions between Sharia law and multiple ECHR provisions (Council of Europe. Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. European Treaty Series No. 5. Rome, 4 November 1950. As amended by Protocols Nos. 11 and 14. Strasbourg: Council of Europe, 2010 [2] ) : ■ Article 2 (right to life) – Sharia permits death penalty for apostasy and adultery ■ Article 3 (prohibition of torture) – Sharia allows corporal punishments like stoning and amputation ■ Article 6 (right to fair trial) – Sharia courts lack proper procedural safeguards ■ Article 8 (private and family life) – Sharia permits child marriage ■ Article 9 (freedom of religion) – Sharia prohibits apostasy and missionary work by non-Muslims ■ Article 10 (freedom of expression) – Sharia criminalizes blasphemy ■ Article 12 (right to marry) – Sharia discriminates based on religion and gender ■ Article 14 (non-discrimination) – Sharia systematically discriminates against women and non-Muslims ■ Article 5 of Protocol 7 (equality between spouses) – Sharia grants men unilateral divorce rights and superior inheritance shares ■ Protocols 6 and 13 (abolition of death penalty) – Sharia maintains capital punishment The Resolution 2253 exposed a shocking reality: Greece, an EU member state, officially applies Sharia law in the Thrace region for its Muslim minority.
