This is yet another reminder that the coach responsible for Ibrahim Maza's age group at the DFB went from U15 to U17 over the course of three years without nominating him a single time, despite the fact that his talent was obvious. The same coach also failed to recognize the potential of Kenan Yıldız and Can Uzun within the same age group and did the same to them, and there are other questionable stories.
Despite that track record, Marc Meister remains in a key position within the DFB and is currently responsible for the U15s, where some of his selections for the first two matches of this age group have once again raised serious questions.
At what point do the media start holding him and the @DFB accountable and demanding consequences for years of failure in one of the most important positions in German youth football?
A coach who completely overlooked players such as Ibrahim Maza, Kenan Yıldız, and Can Uzun should not continue to have a decisive say in identifying and developing Germany's next generation of talent. The cost of these mistakes is simply too high for German football.

The only ones in favor are the clubs that made the mistake years ago of getting rid of their U21 or U23 teams, and now have no internal transition between youth and first team. That says it all.
What makes a U21 or U23 team valuable is that players can adapt to senior football. It’s the final prep and very important. A U21 league would take away most of that purpose of the U21/U23 teams.

All well and good, but a European Championship title in your own country only comes once in a career, and the @UEFA, with its arrogant referee Anthony Taylor, who loves to be in the middle of the attention, stole this from the team and the whole nation.
A disgrace.
UEFA Referees Committee has now admitted that a penalty should have been awarded to Germany against Spain following Marc Cucurella's handball. The committee has informed the international referees that there was an error in that play and it should have ended in a penalty. The situation has been included in the latest review by the organisation, which periodically analyses European matches in order to standardise the criteria and ensure that the referees make the same decisions in similar plays
The document reads: "Following the latest UEFA guidelines, hand-to-ball contact that stops a shot on goal should be punished more strictly, and in most cases a penalty kick should be awarded, unless the defender's arm is very close to the body or in contact with the body. In this case [Cucurella], the defender stops the shot on goal with his arm, which is not very close to the body, making himself bigger, so a penalty kick should have been awarded"
