Psst. Check your inboxes. Polymer JS 1.0 goodness is there. Happy Polymering! #webcomponents
Beta-2 for PolymerJS 1.0 compatibility is up (same download page)! Final edition first part of next week. Onto the screencasts!
Copy edits and minor PolymerJS 1.0 updates are done through chapter 10. Should have another beta by Monday. Possibly a final beta :)
Seems the external styling chapter still applies, BUT only w/ shadow DOM enabled. Still unsure if that warrants keeping the chapter.
Merge complete. The JS version in master is 1.0 compatible. All tests passing. Dart version is now only maintained in dart branch.
Hit angular issues, which might delay the beta. All tests are passing in polymerjs-1_0 branch, but have some selenium robustness worries.
A few more details on what this means for my Polymer.dart version: plus.google.com/+Patternsinp…
All right, I've waited long enough. I have to fork my JS branch from the Dart branch. Expect a 1.0 compatible JS beta by next weekend!
Tests for #dartlang version of @polymerpatterns should be passing again, but… Can anyone write Polymer + Angular tests w/o ugly hacks?
The Dart tests are broken. Seems scheduled_test changed a bit too much, so I'm switching all remaining tests to the test package...
The testing chapter is finally coming together after a major WCT-induced rewrite. Should be ready for a new beta in the upcoming days..
The question is what to do about Polymer 1.0? Shady DOM will affect intro & external CSS chapters mostly. Not compatible w/ Dart tho :-\
Updated Dart beta is now available for download (w/ existing link). Covers 0.16 & the new test package. Working on the JS version now…
Done with @whenPolymerReady and testing changes to Attr Changes & Testing chapters (Dart). New Dart beta in a day or two!
Current plan is edition 1.2 in the next 2 weeks with PolymerJS 0.5 and Polymer.dart 0.16. Updates for 1.x later this year.
[Dart] I'm replacing references to initPolymer() w/ the @whenPolymerReady annotation. Seems easier and fits more use-cases. Any objections?
Done with updates to both the Dart and JS versions of the book! A new beta is now available (check your inboxes). Very excited :)
