Taking the @SouthwestAir direct flight to Nashville today. My 25th (I think) different direct destination from Portland that I've flown over the years. Cheering on the @Patriots tomorrow.
I wonder what exciting new direct PWM destinations will be coming in 2026 @portlandjetport

The Decline of the Accountant (linkedin.com)
"In 2022, there were 1.6 mil in the profession.
- Of the 1.6M, 300,000 have left the profession and only 47,000 entered it.
- According to the AICPA, there is a 33% decline in first-time candidates taking the CPA exam."

Congrats to Julia - she's been a wonderful colleague to work with on the Maine Government Finance Officers Association Board.
The Patriots schedule just came out and there is an away game vs the Tennessee Titans in Nashville on Sunday 11/3. Here’s your reminder that Southwest Airlines has DIRECT PWM to BNA air service on Friday 11/1 (currently $155). Absolutely perfect flight time for a weekend getaway.
Now I can admit it - after working part time in Toronto for the better part of 7 years - I liked this Leafs team. But I’m so thrilled the #NHLBruins are moving on. Always my #1. Playoff hockey is the best.
Great 4th quarter comeback win. Championship game is Friday at 5PM on campus at The Pit in Orono. Go cheer them on to an automatic NCAA tournament bid: um-tickets.evenue.net/cgi-bi…

The 2016 background check referendum would pass in a landslide if it was happening at the polls in 2 weeks. Call your state legislators and let them know you support common sense gun control in Maine. #redo #strongerthistime
The bill's defeat was not necessarily a surprise since Maine voters rejected a similar background check expansion in a 2016 referendum.

Hmmm... all of my 2023 (and 2024) flights have been under $100. $29 to and from Norfolk on @BreezeAirways, $49 to/from Orlando on @BreezeAirways, $59 and $89 for my flights to/from Newark on @united, and $69 each way for an upcoming Breeze trip to Fort Myers. #PWMWayBetter
