I love COMPETITORS! Let me begin with that @JRudd_Scout @nextlevelbb @baseballifer11
The over-use of pitchers at the HS level this spring IMO...has been insane
I am looking at committed kids who universities and colleges have investments in being ran out like rented mules...(has not happened to us)
One guy went from 70 pitches to 122 his next start....on 5 days...and is scheduled to come back on another 5 days...
I'm asking as a Coach who has tried to navigate this for years with HS Coaches...how do you broach the subject with the network of the coach/player/parents in the current state of the game with arm injuries?
It seems all anyone cares about is winning "now" ... "We have Counties" "We have states"...
"I knew I should have come out...but I was just trying to give my team a chance to win a big game" (player) - again I LOVE COMPETITORS
I love to win. However, at what point do we do whats best for the long term health of that player?
That's the conundrum for me because something has to give...Coaches/Parents need to be the adults in the room or it will NEVER CHANGE
Huge day from @colton_colleran hitting his 1st HR & going 3-6 at the plate!!
Let’s go @colinbuck25!!. Big things coming this year for this guy and his @JPIIBASE team!!
High School Baseball has finally started! Couple clips from the first couple games: Single vs. Fairhaven, as well as Nantucket where I pitched 3.2 innings in relief and got 9 K’s. @mikerobyoung @AtlanticSportsP @MattWalsh43 @Post188baseball
