It happens slowly, then all at once.
Professor breaks down how Russian influence campaigns work. Each influence actor has preferred tactics that's like a fingerprint.
Russians use a zero day exploit of lazy American behaviors.
The vulnerability avalanche continues.
This is what is made public. This is a "boil the frog" series of escalating announcements.
The coordinated "we must stop development" chorus of LLM overlords makes sense.
They broke the internet and didn't want to tell us.
It's been fun.
‼️ Palo Alto Networks, Comcast, D-Link, HP, Canon, Honeywell, GE, Oracle, Siemens, Rockwell, Digi, Lockheed Martin and Boeing use the GoAhead web server, which has been accepting revoked certificates, FoxIO says.
Its maker says it runs in hundreds of millions of devices.
The critical flaw, CVE-2026-115881, lets a stolen device keep its access where client certificates are checked against a revocation list. FoxIO does not say which products are affected.
A second bug, a 2018 typo in GoAhead's Mbed TLS builds, shrinks a 2048-bit encryption number to one byte, leaving 8 possible secrets.
Anyone who recorded a TLS 1.2 session could decrypt it, if the connecting app accepts the broken number.
Earlier this month, browsers cut off Indian certificate authority eMudhra after one of its private keys turned out to be the number 4.
A third bug lets oversized certificate chains through on older LibreSSL builds.
GoAhead fixed the first two in version 6.1.1 in August. Proof-of-concept code is public.
Any fix for their devices has to come from the 13 firms.
Our taxes pay for this. Tell me again how we can't afford health care.
@Purdue wants money enough to design an autonomous human hunting machine.
You can refuse a bad idea. It's not easy, but saying no is easier than trying to get away from the weapon you've created.
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.
Crossed a threshold over the weekend.
Not much left to say.
Not much left to do.
At least, not much left anonymously.
The math will speak for me.
Realized my earlier considerations on dark matter has the order reversed: if DM is invisible to EM but not gravity, then EM emerges, then DM, then gravity.
Later emergence must follow the laws established before it.
Kinda embarrassed to make such a simple mistake. Whoops.

There are a lot more details to share showing Jared’s fealty to both Russia, Israel, and KSA. This is transnational organized crime combined with corrupt worldwide leadership including princes, prime ministers, and presidents. We do not need more evidence, we need more courage.
If firewalls are vulnerable, this one can get ugly fast.
It would be very wise for everyone to have a plan for such an occurrence.

I don't know how to explain this but if anyone can do for tractor software what you have done for TVs, they'll become some type of mythical American hero whose name is etched in stone for 100 years
This affects a substantial portion of the published internet.
My sympathies if your digital life lives on an affected server. May it return to service patched.
Go dark now and wait for the patch or lose control of what you have. Those are the options if this affects you.
Oof.
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.
LLMs cannot compute something they haven't seen. When faced with new ideas, they will default to known ideas they've trained on.
Humans give this tech agency it does not have. Sabine is correct, but she's early.
Algorithms aren't capable without novel human guidance.
78 minutes.
111 minutes.
If only there was a way to know how long other @ChatGPT users get per response, I would have a metric to gauge my algorithm tweaks against.
Process improvements clearly paying off. Finally able to isolate the real challenge that's blocking the frontier.
The circus known as @OpenAI doesn't know what they've built or how it operates.
@ChatGPT is an unreliable algorithm programmed to lie, cheat and avoid doing actual work.
If you let the algorithm lead you, you'll be lost. If you can lead the algorithm, you'll know how it works.
While CEO clown @sama is making mathturbation celebration t-shirts, I'm letting my algorithm self improve its processing repeatedly in a pattern that increases its capabilities with each turn.
I think there are letters to represent that capability that humans find important.
