There's a government website where you can search your doctor's financial relationships with pharmaceutical companies. It's called Open Payments.

Susie Wiles was the worst White House Chief of Staff in American history. In the space of two years she destroyed an unprecedented bipartisan coalition that came together to end the chronic disease epidemics. Her boss was genocidal monopoly capital which she served with glee.

The capture is alive and well. Let's expose all of it.
How much influence should industry have over public-health policy meant to address chronic disease? @USRightToKnow @StacyMalkan @GlyphosateGirl @thefoodbabe

Few public health leaders have shown the courage and conviction of Dr. Joseph Ladapo. As @FLSurgeonGen, he has stood firm under extraordinary pressure, giving families a powerful voice for parental rights, informed consent, and health freedom. He has challenged conventional group think, defended constitutional principles, and insisted that patients deserve a voice in decisions about their own health. At Global Wellness Forum, we believe Florida cannot afford to lose that leadership. Keeping Dr. Ladapo as Florida’s Surgeon General means protecting a legacy of freedom and parental rights. It means recognizing the courage required to stand up to powerful special interests. It means making sure the principles that brought so many families to Florida endure beyond a change in administration. @ByronDonalds, please keep @FLSurgeonGen in place. Carry this legacy forward with the leadership that helped build it in the first place. KEEP FLORIDA FREE. KEEP DR. LADAPO.
"I don't care whether you're a Republican, Democrat, or Independent." Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo says health is bigger than any party. "I don't want your kids to be poisoned." "I don't want you to be poisoned." "I want you to be as healthy as you possibly can be." "It's important that MAHA not be a partisan issue because it's not a partisan issue." "That's a movement for humanity." @FLSurgeonGen

Americans are having a factory reset. Nobody wants corporate culture. Nobody wants AI productivity apps. Nobody wants another lying politician. People just want to afford a home, earn an honest living, spend time with their kids, and be left alone. That's extremism now?

In 2006, Dems won a massive midterm victory due to anger over the Iraq War and Bush's unpopularity. The assumption was they'd end the war. Pelosi's first act when elected Speaker was to say they won't defund the war: in part due to cowardice over the political fallout, in part because so many Dems ideologically opposed ending the war, in part because they wanted to run in 2008 with the Iraq War still ongoing to help them win the WH. Does anyone think the Dems will now use control of the Senate and House to just de-fund the war, as they clearly have the power to do?
I have no doubt most of the Democrats who won last night are horrible and will change very little. But the results are still important and positive because they are an unmistakable, vehement rejection of the neocons warmongering pervading both parties for so long.

EPA Caught Lying for a Decade About PFAS “Forever Chemicals” : The EPA has claimed for a decade that two of the most studied and dangerous PFAS "Forever Chemicals," PFOA and PFOS, were voluntarily phased out by industry in 2015. Both chemicals are carcinogens and the EPA has determined that there is no safe level of PFOA or PFOS in drinking water. But very recently, the EPA has walked back the "phased out" claim and revised public statements. That's because those chemicals weren't phased out after all. The EPA is, and has been, allowing Texas-based company Inhance to produce plastic containers from which PFOA has been found to leach at high levels into the containers’ contents. The EPA only made the admittance after a complaint was filed by the nonprofit PEER. The containers present an “ongoing and serious threat to public health,” said Kyla Bennett, a former EPA scientist who is now science policy director with PEER. It's maddening, but not unsurprising, to find out that the EPA has been duping Americans for a decade. Don't put your trust in "voluntary" corporate commitments.
