Don’t just have an opinion. Take action.
Asking for opinions does not create clarity. Action creates clarity. Most people give you advice based on their fears, not on their knowledge.

We don’t need more information. We need better examples. The best way to inspire students to study differently is to show them what it looks like.
One good example can change an entire study session. Especially when it shows the intermediate steps instead of jumping to the answer.

We lift up the students whose precious loved ones are currently in prison. In moments of loneliness, anxiety, or confusion, let them experience Your deep hope and unwavering stability. Surround them with caring adults who will mentor, guide, and protect them.

LEARNING - May we not overlook the importance of connecting with each other, Notable Quote by Parker Palmer emphasizes building relationships and community to foster deeper learning in students. H/T Brad Brisco
If you teach, whether in a classroom, small group, or virtual cohort, consider beginning by reflecting on this Parker Palmer quote from his book "To Know as We Are Known: A Spirituality of Education." "Scholars now understand that knowing is a profoundly communal act. Nothing could possibly be known by the solitary self, since the self is inherently communal in nature. What scholars now say—and what good teachers have always known—is that real learning does not happen until students are brought into a relationship with the teacher, with each other, and with the subject. We cannot learn deeply and well until a community of learning is created in the classroom…. To teach is to create a space in which the community of truth is practiced." #Teaching #ParkerPalmer

Lord, we lift up every student who feels invisible, overlooked, or silenced, and we pray that they would truly feel heard, valued, and understood.

Great teachers are risk takers, comfort zone breakers and status quo pushers. Catherine Booth says it best, “There is no improving the future without disturbing the present.”

Burnout isn’t a badge of honor, & exhaustion isn’t evidence of effectiveness. Rest is an educator’s discipline. Renew your mind, restore your spirit, and protect your capacity, because the students you teach need your wisdom, presence, and vitality, not simply your productivity.
Teachers are suffering in silence, often at their breaking point. They smile, teach, and manage, but behind the "I'm fine," lies exhaustion and doubt. Burnout builds for months before a resignation. #TeacherWellbeing #Education

Teaching asks a lot of you, so being excited for an extra day off is completely reasonable. A three-day weekend can mean sleeping a little later, getting some things done at home, or simply having a day when the alarm doesn’t go off before sunrise. You don’t have to prove your commitment to students by pretending you never need a break. Enjoy the extra day.

Give your best and let go of the rest.
Stay committed to your mission as an educator. There will be barriers, setbacks, and difficult days, but your purpose is bigger than the obstacles standing in your way.

The patient people I admire didn’t arrive that way.  They repeated small acts of restraint until restraint became who they are.
Proverbs 19:11“A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.” Winning Edge: As my Mom taught me, “Patience is a learned virtue.” Life is the classroom. Self-regulation is the goal. Wisdom determines the response. Patience is disciplined strength!

"It's the little things that are vital. Little things make big things happen." - John Wooden
Don’t assume your students know you care about them. You gotta show them… every day. Students don’t know their teachers care about them because it says so on the syllabus. They don’t know because the teacher routinely proclaims to the entire class, “You guys know how much I love you.” They know because of how you treat them. You can’t just say it. You have to show it. When you stop and talk to your students outside of the classroom, you show it. When a student is having a bad day and you respond with compassion instead of frustration, you show it. When you notice something is wrong and take the time to ask, you show it. When they lose someone they love and you call to check on them—or maybe even show up—you show it. It’s often the little things that convince students that the big thing is true: My teacher cares about me. As educators, we should never want our students wondering where they stand with us. Our actions should leave no room for doubt. And to the leaders reading this… How does your team know you care about them? Not because you’ve told them. What have you done lately that leaves no doubt?
