Переговоры украинской делегации со спецпосланниками Дональда Трампа в Майами, как пишет Le Monde, переросли в конфликт. По данным издания, во время трехчасовой встречи в гольф-клубе Shell Bay Стив Уиткофф «с раздражением» требовал от главы офиса Зеленского Кирилла Буданова прекратить удары по российским НПЗ.
Буданов, по информации Le Monde, «с трудом сдерживал гнев» и чувствовал, что с ним «обращаются как с ребенком, пытаясь научить зарабатывать деньги». Американцы представили масштабный план послевоенного «регионального процветания», который предполагал возобновление прокачки российских нефти и газа в Европу через Украину с выплатой Киеву дивидендов.
Буданов возмутился, что такая сделка привяжет Украину к Москве, после чего переговоры прервались. Когда встреча возобновилась, американцы предложили принять сделку по поставкам российского дизеля в США.
Источники издания отмечают, что никогда не видели украинцев «настолько расстроенными и встревоженными». В окружении Зеленского ситуацию назвали «безнадежной», поскольку посланники Трампа «думают только о бизнесе»

🇳🇴🇺🇦 How can Ukrainian soldiers apply for a vehicle from Ukrainian Freedom Convoys (UFC)?
Every week, we receive desperate requests from Ukrainian soldiers who need vehicles. We understand their situation, and we wish we could help every single one of them.
But the reality is that demand far exceeds our resources.
We have received more than 270 requests for our autumn convoys alone. That is far more than we can possibly fulfil.
How are vehicles allocated?
UFC operates a democratic allocation process. Requests are considered collectively to ensure that vehicles are distributed as fairly and responsibly as possible.
We cannot simply buy a vehicle and prioritise one particular soldier or unit because someone contacts us directly.
There are hundreds of soldiers waiting, many in equally desperate situations. Every request deserves fair consideration.
What does a vehicle cost?
On average, approximately NOK 40,000 (€3,400–3,500) covers purchasing a suitable used vehicle, necessary repairs and preparation.
Our volunteer drivers cover their own travel expenses.
That means:
NOK 40,000 can fund approximately one vehicle.
NOK 200,000 can fund approximately five.
NOK 400,000 can fund approximately ten.
Actual costs vary depending on the vehicles and repairs required.
How can soldiers apply?
Our application list is currently closed because of the overwhelming demand.

Kritikk
«10X UKRAINIAN DEAD» brukes i omtalen av et intervju med Alexander Grable, som har publisert en forskningsartikkel ved Finlands forsvarshøgskole. Han argumenterer for at Ukrainas militære tap er langt høyere enn Russlands, og at Ukraina sannsynligvis taper utmattelseskrigen.
Arild Kristensen og vi, har undersøkt rapporten, kontrollert originalkildene og gått gjennom Grables egne svar på kritiske spørsmål om beregningene.
På side 164 i raporten anslår han mellom 403 269 og 517 200 døde ukrainske soldater allerede i november 2024.
Han tar utgangspunkt i 93 566 registrerte amputasjoner i Ukraina og multipliserer tallet med 4,31, et forholdstall hentet fra amerikanske kriger.
Problemet er at statistikken gjelder kirurgiske inngrep i hele helsevesenet, inkludert sivile, amputasjoner av fingre og tær og gjentatte operasjoner på samme person.
En rådgiver i Ukrainas sosialdepartement anslo antallet personer med amputasjoner til 35 000–40 000. Ingen offentliggjort statistikk viser hvor mange som var soldater.
Ukrainas helsedepartement forklarte allerede i september 2023 forskjellen mellom pasienter og inngrep. Samtidig opplyste departementet at over 17 000 personer gjennomgikk amputasjoner i 2021, før fullskalainvasjonen. Dette omfatter også medisinske årsaker som Grable ikke skiller ut.
Grable har antydet at BMJs senere forklaring kan være ukrainsk skadebegrensning, selv om ukrainske myndigheter hadde forklart denne registreringsmetoden flere år tidligere.
Hans høyeste beregning bygger dessuten på 120 000 amputasjoner, som den ukrainske originalkilden beskriver som uoffisiell statistikk, inkludert opplysninger om protesebehandling i utlandet.
På side 165 beregner Grable bare 35 264 døde russiske soldater fram til juni 2024.
Her bruker han 3 200 amputasjonsdiagnoser fra en lekket russisk sykehusdatabase og multipliserer med 11,02, et forholdstall fra Vietnamkrigen.
Men databasen er ufullstendig og inneholder også sykdomstilfeller, gjentatte registreringer og antatte ukrainske krigsfanger. Russiske soldater behandlet andre steder mangler.
Allerede 22. juni 2024 hadde BBC Russian og Mediazona identifisert 56 858 døde russiske soldater og stridende ved navn.
Det er 21 594 flere enn Grables beregning, åtte dager før hans egen sluttdato. Han dokumenterer ingen feil eller forskjeller i personellavgrensningen som forklarer dette enorme avviket.
Han har heller ikke kontrollert de ukrainske beregningene mot UALosses, som registrerer identifiserte ukrainske døde og savnede.

Sanksjonene har ikke stanset Russlands krig. Men de virker. Erlend Bjørtvedt og Aage Borchgrevink viser hvordan de rammer russisk økonomi og krigsindustri. Men smutthullene må tettes. De bør svi enda mer.

Today, another Russian smear campaign is trying to pretend that Ukraine, or Zelenskyy personally, rejected a good "peace deal" in Istanbul in 2022.
The "peace plan" in question included strict limitations on the Ukrainian armed forces, rendering them harmless and defenseless. No alliances were allowed. It also included security guarantees, but with a funny kicker: Russia demanded that triggering these security guarantees required the unanimous agreement of all guarantor states, including Russia itself.
In other words, Ukraine was supposed to disarm almost completely, after which Russia could attack again and just block Ukraine from receiving any military aid. Comfy, right?
The "peace deal" proposed in Istanbul was, in fact, a "disarm and let Russia slaughter us" deal. The full details are public by now. Research it yourself and don't fall for the propaganda.
