I think a huge part of why the market has gotten wack is the increase in toxicity on CT. People attack anyone who shills/ supports stuff on twitter.
It’s just a massively losing situation for most people.
-Being doxxed = -EV
-Being the main character or having a large account = -EV
-Trying to help other big names enter the space = -EV
People in crypto hate to see others win so much the jealously has reached a fever pitch. Maybe this is part of adoption as the space becomes less insular. I’m not sure.
People have been asking where the big names have gone. It used to be that you had a lot of people like Ansem supporting stuff and keeping communities alive - thus incentivizing people to hold.
$MLG is a great example of whats possible when a big name decides to make it their mission to send something- it sends. We need more of that.
Something would launch, pump hard, dip, then some big name would swoop in and reinvigorate it or nurture it to greatness. There would be a community effort to nurture something not just extract.
Now most have disappeared and the main way most of the biggest fish in the space are communicating with people is on the blockchain through tracked wallets or maybe soft shills.
More of the supply is held by extractors because most of the alpha is in private chats or on the blockchain/ not on twitter= normal people don’t buy.
There isn’t the same bullish energy or collective mission we once had. People just see some big name got in earlier than them, they get mad/ attack/ fud.
Combine this with the litany of different forms of extraction and it’s just a mess.
We need to stop attacking people for supporting stuff. There simply is no winning atm if you support -
If it doesn’t pump forever, if something goes wrong/ rugged, etc etc - then people are attacked with accusations of being a rugger/ scammer. Fudding people has become the favorite CT sport.
Ansem called Anita Max Wynn/ Hobbes etc and they pumped hard - a lot of people made a lot of money. Those were objectively good calls, but ultimately they died - and people flaunted those charts as some proof of him being a scammer. The hate was wild.
ALL charts look like that eventually. Every single one. But now without people feeling comfortable supporting communities all charts look like that within 24 hours and nothing sticks.
We need more people bullposting on twitter, supporting long term- not exclusively doxxed wallets on KOLscan with no accountability. The current format of demonizing all people bullposting on twitter but glorifying traders extracting on doxxed wallets is a super toxic combo- and yet this space leaves people with no choice.
It doesn’t work. We have to go back to how things were but in order to do that everyone needs to collectively stop being whiny assholes about it.
I also think we need more coordination across the board. Shit needs to get more professional again not just something sniped by fnf groups and doxxed wallets and then extracted and that’s it.
Not totally sure what the solutions are/ just brainstorming here idk.

Github Larp Lesson
github.com/IsaacDavis02/Mach…
Something I've noticed there's some github accounts that look like the contributor is stacked (at first glance has insane amount of commits)
But if you open all these random commits you'll see they're just all text changes/no code
I'd imagine they're bought accounts (that get sold to people for like faking job recruiting credentials or rugging coins 🤣)
But yea do look out for actual contributions/changes in the code not just fake commit titles

pump.fun coin migration issue post-mortem
TL;DR:
1. the pump.fun contracts are safe. they have always been safe
2. a former employee used their privileged position at the company to misappropriate ~12.3K SOL (~$1.9m)
3. pump.fun is back live. you can launch new coins and trade any coin that did not reach 100% between 15:21-17:00 UTC
4. to make users whole, any coin that reached 100% between 15:21-17:00 UTC will go live on raydium with >= 100% of the liquidity that it previously had within the next 24 hours
5. trading fees are now 0% for the next 7 days
Keep reading to understand what happened and next steps
Here is the detailed rundown of what happened:
at 15:21 UTC, a former employee, having illegitimately taken access of the withdraw authority using their privileged position at the company, used flash loans on a Solana lending protocol to:
1. Borrow SOL
2. Use that SOL to buy up as many coins as they can so these coins hit 100% on their respective bonding curves
3. Once these coins hit 100%, gain access to the bonding curve liquidity
4. repay flash loans
by 17:00 UTC, all trading on pump.fun was halted. Out of a total of $45m of liquidity in the bonding curve contracts, only ~$1.9m was affected
NEXT STEPS
the pump.fun team redeployed the contracts. trading is live again with 0% trading fees for the next 7 days. you can safely create coins and buy and sell them
coins that reached 100% between 15:21-17:00 UTC are in limbo, meaning that no one can trade them until LPs are deployed for them on Raydium
to make users whole, the pump.fun team will seed the LPs for each affected coin with an equal or greater amount of SOL liquidity that the coin had at 15:21 UTC within the next 24 hours
please bear with us as we aim to resume the trading of these coins in a safe and structured manner
we have been working with some of the most esteemed security folks in the space to not only minimize the impact of the situation, but to ensure that this will never happen in the future.
thank you to anyone who has lent a hand, and to the best community in the space for trusting us
solana shitcoins are back, and greater than ever
