Lou Gehrig discussed Babe Ruth's called shot on an NBC radio broadcast on October 6, 1932, only five days after the World Series game at Wrigley. The recording then went unheard for roughly 88 years before author Dan Joseph surfaced it in 2020. It is the only known audio of Gehrig discussing the called shot. That combination of timing and rediscovery makes the recording unusually valuable evidence in one of baseball's oldest debates.

"No matter how many interviews, how many questions, how many times you approached him and you got only courtesy and decency in return. A true gentleman who never took himself seriously. I always had the idea he didn't know he was Brooks Robinson." Joe Falls, Detroit News. "Brooks Robinson" Art by Noah Stokes.

Nothing like the imagination of teenage boys. They can't manage to keep their rooms clean, but they can come up with and execute this perfectly. 😂😂

Passengers on a commercial flight captured the launch of Artemis II on camera The plane happened to pass near the launch trajectory at the exact moment of liftoff, giving passengers a rare view of the rocket launch right from their windows.

“We’re here to mourn his loss. I also want to celebrate his life. If you met him, you were happy. If you interacted w/ him, you were lucky. If you were friends w/ him, you were favored. If you were coached by him, you were fortunate. If he was your dad, you were blessed.”-Skip

Pistol Pete Maravich scored 3,667 points in 83 games over 3 years at LSU. If you took the nation's top 83 single-game scoring performances in the last 3 years(not including this season)you'd have a combined 3,465 total points

It's a shame that so many Cardinals fans have no idea how great Ken Boyer was at third base. He didn't have the luxury of playing on the perfectly manicured fields we see today. He was special. #STLCards
