So UConn is following CSCU’s approach — secret voting as well as exec sessions?! 👀
“A non-binding tally of trustees was taken during the executive session of Wednesday’s board meeting. A majority of those in attendance for the private discussion indicated that they would oppose a contract renewal…”
In a closed session of the University of Connecticut's Board of Trustees on Wednesday, multiple members said they would oppose renewing the contract of Dr. Radenka Maric, the school's president since 2022. If that happened, who would replace her? wtnh.com/sports/uconn-huskie…

Here's a look at just how early the sun will set in cities across the country after the time change.
Tried changing Amtrak tickets to an earlier train but it would’ve been almost $200 more…

Amtrak lady: you’re gonna take SEPTA over us?!
Apparently me…
Went into a Philly bar with friends and a Jersey mayor spots yours truly…

The number of people writing dissertations in the humanities has collapses, now the same thing is happening in the social sciences.
I'd wager that we will see a similar trend in psychology and other fields before long. Cuts in funding, the tight academic job market, and AI are rapidly changing the university and cratering graduate programs.
