“Attention must be paid.” — Arthur Miller, Death of a Salesman Lee Harvey Oswald. Born October 18, 1939. New Orleans, Louisiana. His father died two months before he arrived. That's the first thing you need to know. He came into the world already owed something. He never collected. His mother moved him eleven times before he was seventeen. Eleven schools. Eleven sets of strangers. The psychiatrist who evaluated him at twelve called him emotionally disturbed due to lack of normal family life. An observation rather than an indictment of the circumstances that produced it. Very American. He joined the Marines at seventeen. Taught himself Russian in his bunk. Worked as a radar operator on the U-2 spy plane project in Japan, either the bio of a lone nut or the most interesting Cold War resume, depending on which files you believe are classified. He got an honorable discharge, told his mother he was going to New Orleans, and boarded a boat to England. Then he defected to the Soviet Union. He walked into the American Embassy in Moscow to renounce his citizenship. The Soviets didn't want him either; they gave him a six-day visa and told him to leave. He slit his wrist in his hotel bathtub rather than go back. The Soviets, fearing an incident, gave him a work visa, an apartment in Minsk, a radio factory job, and a stipend. He hated it there too. He married a Russian woman named Marina. Moved back to America. The US government gave him a repatriation loan of $435.71 and asked no further questions about why a former radar operator on classified spy planes had spent three years in the USSR. This is the part that should bother you more than it does. He couldn't hold a job. Beat his wife. Tried to go to Cuba and couldn't get in. Handed out Fair Play for Cuba pamphlets on a street corner in New Orleans while photographed by people who may or may not have been intelligence assets. Moved to Dallas. Got a job at the Texas School Book Depository sixteen days before the presidential motorcade route was announced. November 22, 1963. Three shots or two. From the sixth floor or the grassy knoll or both. The Warren Commission said lone gunman. The House Select Committee on Assassinations said probably a conspiracy. The files are still not fully released in 2026. Sixty-three years later. Make of that what you will. Two days after the assassination Jack Ruby walked into a police station and shot Oswald on live television. Ruby was a nightclub owner with documented mob ties. He said he did it to spare Jackie Kennedy the trauma of a trial. He died in prison of cancer before his appeal was heard. The most important murder of the twentieth century was solved by a man who was immediately murdered by another man who immediately died. Here is what Lee Harvey Oswald actually was: a broke, fatherless, restless American kid who the country failed at every possible turn, who the government used and discarded, who couldn't find a place that would have him in America or the Soviet Union or Cuba, who beat his wife in a Dallas boarding house and worked a minimum wage job and may or may not have killed a president and was dead at twenty-four. He is every American political failure dressed up in one biography. The poverty. The neglect. The military that takes you and discards you. The intelligence apparatus that watches you and never explains why. The violence. The television. The quick clean ending that raises more questions than it answers. Nothing has changed. The files are still sealed. The powerful still escape accountability. The broke and the restless still get used and discarded. The motorcades still roll. Lee Harvey Oswald would recognize 2026 immediately. That's the most frightening thing about him. Patron saint of everything America produces and refuses to look at. Special Thanks: Stephen Sondheim (@sondheimlyrics) Tim Fattig (@timfattig) John & Amanda Milius (@AmandaMilius)

Fantastic post.
Neil Young - Only Love Can Break Your Heart So much pain in a deceptively comforting melody. The gentlest of waltzes, a hard-won lesson at its core. Nash and Joni inspired it, but it’s for anyone who’s ever been hurt. 1970.

Gandalf is arguably the greatest character in cinematic history, and the older you get, the more you understand why. He is one of the most powerful beings in Middle-earth, yet he chooses humility over domination. He could walk among kings, but prefers the company of Hobbits. He possesses ancient wisdom, but never pretends to know everything. He inspires courage without demanding obedience. He confronts unimaginable evil, not because he believes himself invincible, but because someone has to stand against it. He understands that the fate of the world is not determined solely by armies, kings or great powers, but by the seemingly insignificant acts of ordinary people. He sees greatness in those who cannot see it in themselves. He falls into the abyss fighting a demon from the ancient world, sacrificing himself so that his friends might live. And when he returns, more powerful than ever, he remains fundamentally unchanged in character. No arrogance. No hunger for power. No desire to rule. Just wisdom, compassion, humour, courage and an unwavering commitment to what is good. And perhaps his greatest lesson is that evil is not ultimately defeated by becoming more powerful than it, but by refusing to become like it. Gandalf isn’t simply a great fictional character. He’s a representation of everything humanity should aspire to become.

I distinctly remember multiple cities getting burned down all summer and having Black Lives Matter force fed into every sporting event for two years straight. Not one of them has said a word about Brian Cole Jr. No Al Sharpton. No protests. No media coverage. No press conferences. Nada. An autistic black guy got framed for terrorism and has sat in a jail cell for over a year. Video evidence appears to exonerate him completely. None of them care even slightly. Worse, Trump has let one of his supporters rot so that the CIA can get away with a false flag on American soil meant to criminalize the entire MAGA movement. It's one of the biggest scandals in American history and it barely makes a sound.

Ethan Klein spent years building an empire lecturing people about ethics, accountability and toxic behavior. His wife just filed for divorce. The podcast continues. The parasocial relationship remains intact. The irony is doing just fine. @mozgroyp #ethanklein

This is one of the first conspiracy theories I found out back sometime in 1986. I love the historical ties going back to the Romans. Fun post.
The Rothschilds and Rockefellers are ONLY “middle management” puppets… They serve as branch families of the House of Orsini. The House of Orsini claim to trace themselves back to the Julio-Claudian Dynasty of the Old Roman Empire. They are the head the 13 Venetian Black Nobility bloodlines. They founded the Jesuit Order, and control the Vatican. Domenico Napoleone Orsini, nicknamed, “Pepe Orsini” is the most powerful man on Earth. He is known as “The Grey Pope”. The Grey Pope controls the “White Pope” and “Black Pope”. Pepe Orsini, wields unimaginable wealth and power, and he pulls the strings of Presidents, Prime-Ministers, and organised crime syndicates around the world, from behind closed doors. The Roman Empire never ended!

BREAKING: Satan Makes Rare Earth Appearance To Present Father-Son Award In what theologians are calling 'unprecedented but not surprising,' the Prince of Darkness made a brief appearance in Jerusalem Tuesday to personally congratulate Rabbi Shmuley Boteach and son on their continued contributions to his mission on earth. 'I don't usually make house calls,' Satan told reporters, 'but some work deserves personal recognition.' The award, a golden pitchfork engraved 'Outstanding Achievement in Making Religion Unwatchable,' was presented at a small ceremony attended by several people who should have known better. Rabbi Shmuley was unavailable for comment. He was already on chapter three.
