Announcing the 2026 Bryant University Commencement Honorary Degree Recipients🎓🐶
Next month, when the Bryant University comes together to celebrate the Class of 2026 at Commencement, in addition to the 915 students receiving diplomas, Bryant will confer honorary degrees upon four outstanding leaders recognized for their public service, management skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and innovation in the areas of academia, business, and healthcare:
▪️ Amy C. Edmondson, Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management at the Harvard Business School
▪️ Glenn Creamer, co-founder of Providence Equity Partners
▪️ Richard B. Leto ’73, who retired as Executive Vice President of Merchandising for Macy’s
▪️ Dr. John A. Froehlich ’09 MBA, a founding member of University Orthopedics and former chief and director at The Miriam Hospital

This past weekend at Bryant University was the inaugural Society for Food Marketing and Retailing Conference (SFMR) where 100+ attendees gathered to discuss scholarly research in marketing, consumer behavior, and retailing within the dynamic food and beverage sector.

Approved by the Bryant University Board of Trustees on Friday, January 23, the College of Arts & Sciences and School of Health and Behavioral Sciences will have new names starting July 1.

10 students are headed to San Francisco to produce their own broadcast right from Radio Row for the first time in Bryant history!
Since September 2025, these students have been practicing their skills, learning the industry from professor @christianfauria, and planning their shows - with a little help from retired Patriots cornerback, Ty Law too.

Supported by a generous gift from Trustee Kimberly (Sprague) Anderson ’22H, Bryant University’s new Sprague Center for Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking will be dedicated today, Thursday, January 22, in honor of Anderson’s parents and Bryant alums Audrey F. (Perreault) Sprague ’56 and the late Robert E. “Bob” Sprague ’56. The center, one of the flagship spaces in Bryant’s Business Entrepreneurship Leadership Center, will serve as a regional hub for student and community startups.

It’s a wrap on @BryantUniv's biggest IDEA, 72 hours of engaged learning, and students, faculty, staff, @bryantalumni, and partners collaborating at a high level. Congrats to participants and the IDEA Leadership Team on a memorable start to the spring semester.
Last week, @BryantUniv students were in NYC participating in the Arts in the City program. Thanks to our hosts at sites across the city and to the @bryantalumni panel for sharing career insights, and to the faculty and staff who make this program so meaningful for students.

Tupper II to Take His Lap into Retirement🐶
Since April of 2018, Tupper II has been a source of iron-clad Bulldog pride for the Bryant community. He supported many incredible moments on campus, including welcoming the largest first-year class, 17 conference championships, 11 NCAA appearances, the ribbon cuttings of many new facilities, and of course his Bulldogs achieving incredible outcomes as they graduate. He earned thousands of well-deserved pets along the way.
On Saturday, December 13, during halftime at the men's basketball home game, the Bryant community will celebrate Tupper II's final lap as he heads into retirement. A special shout-out to Tupper II's dedicated handler and best friend, Bill Doughty, for his commitment over the years. Bryant has started the search for Tupper II's successor — a pup with big paws to fill in the hearts and minds of human Bulldogs.
Thank you, Tupper II, for creating so many memories at Bryant. Next step: naps, treats, and endless cuddles. Happy retirement, Tupper II!
Student athletics and our sports teams are a true source of pride at @BryantUniv, and our nationally ranked @Bryantmensoccer team is leading the way! This Sunday, they’ll face the University of Vermont Catamounts in a battle for the American East Championship title. Go Dawgs!
