Good lord 🤦 Boston is being governed like it’s a game of Sim City. Install a bike lane outside senior housing, ignore residents’ concerns, create problems for emergency access, then rip it out two months later at taxpayers’ expense. This is what happens when ideology takes priority over common sense. Seniors and taxpayers deserve better.
Mayor Michelle Wu's administration put a two-way bike lane in front of a South Boston senior housing building in August. Two months later, the city is tearing it out. The roughly 100-foot lane on O'Connor Way, which the Andrew Square Civic Association dubbed a "bike lane to nowhere," didn't connect to any bike network. It took the parking that caregivers, visiting nurses and families relied on. Neighbors warned it would make it hard for first responders to reach the building, and video obtained by Mass Daily News shows it: a Boston EMS ambulance and a fire truck stuck out on the street, with the bike lane's railings between them and the front door. Flynn says it wasn't the first time. In August, an ambulance couldn't pull up out front, and days later neighbors couldn't drive onto the street for more than 45 minutes. The city even held a meeting with residents without any South Boston elected officials there, Flynn says. Flynn kept pushing, and Boston's Chief of Streets has now told him the lane "is now being removed." He wants a City Council hearing on how it got approved in the first place, and on what he calls "the waste of taxpayer money."

I have legit spent the whole day laughing about the Australian Human Rights Commission engaging a “communications consultant” to help them answer senate estimate questions, only to humiliate themselves by saying men who claim to be women need breastfeeding protections in law. You have to laugh or we will lose our minds over this insanity of all this.

Released on bail.
🚨BREAKING: No child is safe in Maura Healey's sanctuary Massachusetts as a 14-year-old girl is horrifically raped inside of a church by a “Worcester man” (illegal alien) —who is arrested and released on a measly $15K bail. Violating a child is heinous. Democrats harboring these illegal aliens is unforgivable.

The power of water. It cuts rock and clears trees out of the way to flow where it will. It’s mesmerizing and beautiful. Iceland has many waterfalls, and this one is among the best. Travel to see nature’s bounty!

Not surprising Massachusetts Governor Healy ranks 46/50 for overall freedom. The voters demanded an audit, voted for it and she ignored it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This concept was always a too good to be true cruise experience. I feel badly for those who bought into it hook, line, and now sinker.
Passengers on an ‘endless’ world cruise have been told to leave residential ship Villa Vie Odyssey with all their belongings in Cambodia after the company said it was 'unable to secure the fuel necessary to continue operations'.

I don’t know what’s more depressing, the post or the comments that support complaining about parents that sacrificed for their children and now want to remain independent from them and just need some help. It’s disgusting how ungrateful these kids are towards their parents.
I've begged my elderly parents to move in with us. No downsize to a safer house. No. Move closer to us. No. Now Dad's in the hospital, Mom needs a ride home and someone to stay overnight, and I have to work tomorrow and get my kids ready for school. This was entirely preventable. I've offered every reasonable solution, and they've refused them all. Older generations, you cannot insist on doing everything your way and then expect your adult children to rearrange their lives to make it work…

Holy shit...this clip is unreal. Nithya Raman has absolutely NO clue about how housing works in LA. Oppenheim explains to her that landlords are losing money over the last decade and she's got ZERO idea what he's saying. This lady was chair of the Homelessness and Housing Committee for years and she's genuinely hearing this for the first time in her life. Unreal that this low IQ buffoon is about to be the Mayor. WTF are we doing.

Never take a call from your credit card company or from your bank. Always assume it’s fraud. Instead, hang up and call the number on the back of your cc or ATM card and ask if they were trying to get a hold of you. Perhaps they were, but the difference is that now you know you’re talking to the real companies.
The perfect storm is frontier models finding obscure security vulnerabilities at breakneck pace while voice models become indecipherable from human speech. When a model hits a roadblock, it will just spoof Caller ID as your bank and call you, pretending to be your banker.

Aaron Rodgers sat at that podium in Paris and said out loud what the corporate league office spends millions trying to sanitize. The NFL talks endlessly about “player safety” and “expanding the global game.” But behind closed doors, owners scrapped player-friendly bye weeks, forced a brutal 17th regular-season game, and shipped franchises across oceans simply because there was another dollar to squeeze out of foreign TV markets. While families and players navigate locked-down streets, civil tension, and grueling travel schedules, ownership sits in five-star suites counting international expansion checks. Rodgers doesn't care about league fines anymore. He’s telling you the truth: in the modern NFL, the brand and the balance sheet come first. The humans on the field come second.

Help get @AbdulElSayed elected to the senate! Get involved and help at abdulforsenate.com/vote go.abdulforsenate.com Abdul isn’t the scary person his opponents want you to be afraid of. There’s so much work going into making people afraid of Abdul. People focus on his Muslim name, make accusations about who he’s connected to, and warn that he’s going to force Sharia law on everyone. You hear it over and over again. And I think we should stop and ask why they’re working so hard to make us afraid of him. It’s hard for me to hear Muslims and Arabs talked about this way without thinking about our own Jewish history. We know what it’s like to have people treat your identity as a reason to distrust you, to make you seem threatening just because of who you are. I’m not telling anyone what they have to believe about Abdul. I’m asking people to recognize that this kind of talk should sound familiar to us. And look, I understand that people in our community are scared right now. There are real threats, real grief, and real reasons to be worried about Jewish safety. I’m not trying to minimize any of that. But what do we actually do about it? For me, this comes down to a pretty simple question: Who is going to protect the democracy that has helped keep Jews safe in America? Who is going to stand up for the rights of all of us? Abdul. Because I believe protecting our community means protecting the democracy we all depend on.
