Moore has not played since September 26 after sustaining a concussion at USC, and the Ducks have since fallen to 4-3 and out of the College Football Playoff race. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound slinger returned to Oregon this season despite being the projected No. 2 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Detroit, Michigan native tossed for 926 yards, 9 touchdowns, and zero interceptions while completing 69.7% of his passes in four games this season. The former five-star recruit began his career at UCLA before spending three seasons in Eugene, and led the Ducks to a College Football Playoff Semifinals run in 2025. Illinois defeated Oregon 21-10 on Saturday, and the Ducks have since fired offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer after less than a year on the job. The Ducks will likely have an audition for 2027’s QB1 the rest of the way with former five-star recruit and Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola and Eugene native Brock Thomas gunning for the job.
