Today October 18 marks the anniversary of the liberation of Khudafarin from Armenia's occupation. The Khudafarin bridges span today's border between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Araz River.
Were you surprised that @GretaThunberg went from climate activist to Gaza campaigner? It is not surprising at all. See analysis of the uniting network in @tabletmag tabletmag.com/sections/news/… with @Doranimated
Leading climate organizations like @ember_energy regularly praise China, despite China being the largest emitter of greenhouse gases and the largest consumer of coal in the world. They specifically praise China's expansion of electricity capacity (which is produced primarily from coal) and their increase in electric vehicles which are actually coal fired cars (CVs not EVs).
While China is the leading emitter in the world of greenhouse gases and and uses more coal than all other countries combined, a leading US climate scientist praises China for its climate leadership and bashes US technology in a Chinese government website.

In the War Room arrived. Looking forward to reading this important book.
From @EnergyInstitute today "China bets on coal for energy security."
The @ember_energy graph shows data on China's consumption in various sectors of electricity versus fossil fuels. It is very misleading. China's electricity is produced primarily from coal. It is fossil fuels where directly or in the form of electricity.
Electricity now supplies about THREE-QUARTERS of final energy in China's light manufacturing sector⚡
Electricity share (%)
🔌 Electrical equipment and electronics: 78%
🏭 Machinery: 72%
👕 Textiles: 71%
🛻 Transport equipment: 71%
