Martin and I had great fun writing the introductory essay for this, and are very grateful to the contributors and to VR editor Jan Schroeder (herself a contributor). We hope it will help get people talking about Victorian talk.
Delighted that the 'Victorian Talk' forum, I edited with @PatrickLearyVIC is now live: Victorian Review 49.2. tinyurl.com/4z2hcfyh. With excellent contributions from @Singingarchives, clemence schultz, @AnneRodrick, Brian Maidment, Barbara Leckie & @JSchray, and @lesliehowsam
