“No amount of Lesser Hajj, spaghetti, or propaganda will save President Tinubu from imminent defeat. Nigerians have made up their minds to defeat him, even if he relocates to Saudi Arabia.” — Sheikh Sunusi Khali fires shots at Tinubu.

The obsession with making every political conversation about numbers means nothing if those numbers are not accurate. Peter Obi should spend less time trying to impress Nigerians with statistics and more time ensuring that what he says can stand up to verification.

The microphone does not make a statistic correct. Neither does confidence, eloquence or political popularity. Facts remain facts, and they must be verified.

One thing Nigerians should never underestimate is the importance of having our national oil company at the table where major global energy decisions are being discussed. This week, NNPC Ltd, under GCEO Engr. @BBOjulari , made its presence felt at ADIPEC 2026 in Abu Dhabi, engaging some of the biggest names in the global energy industry. From bp and Wood Mackenzie to ADNOC and the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers, these are not ordinary contacts. They are institutions with enormous influence over energy investment, technology, production and international partnerships. But here is what matters most. Nigeria does not need international handshakes merely for photographs. We need partnerships that translate into investment, increased crude oil production, accelerated gas development, jobs and stronger national revenue. That is where Ojulari's leadership will ultimately be judged. The engagements at ADIPEC represent encouraging opportunities, but the real achievement will be converting those conversations into measurable results. Credit must be given where strategic efforts are evident, regardless of political affiliation. NNPC Ltd is a national institution, and its success should matter to every Nigerian. Well done to Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari and his team for maintaining Nigeria's presence in these important global energy conversations. Now, let the results speak!

Who says Nigeria must import everything, including the technology to move Nigerians around? Meet the @NASENIHQ Electric Vehicle, proof that Nigeria has the ambition to develop its own automotive technology. Perhaps the real challenge is turning promising innovations into mass-produced vehicles.

If Peter Obi expects Nigerians to trust his promise of transparency, he must be transparent about his own record. What was the purpose of the offshore companies linked to him in the Pandora Papers, and were the interests properly declared while he was governor?

When other politicians are accused, Peter Obi’s supporters demand documents. When the Pandora Papers raise questions about Obi, why should the standard suddenly change?

In 2010, while serving as Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi was linked to an offshore company in the British Virgin Islands named Gabriella Investments Limited, after his daughter. Nigerians deserve to know why a sitting governor needed such an offshore arrangement.

Imagine being more concerned about defending your record than acknowledging the hardship and suffering of the very people you were elected to serve.

By now, Tinubu and his supporters, as well as Peter Obi and his camp, must be feeling the heat. The massive crowd that came out in Sokoto to welcome Atiku and other ADC leaders for the campaign flag-off is something they can't easily ignore. The political atmosphere is changing.
