This is marketing. He just wants your money.
Devs don’t hate gamers, we are gamers. For every negative experience I’ve had with a gamer as a dev I’ve had 1000x positive ones.
This is just a sweeping platitude that intentionally sows division.
Now who would want that? Who wants drama and division? Literally guys like this that can monetise that drama and package it as entertainment to be sold.
I agree with one thing. The people who write about games can be a problem. He’s talking about himself.
Craig is a journalist. I’m starting to notice it’s just journalists pitting us against each other from 2 sides they created.
He wants you to support his Awards because it keeps him in a job.

Is it product research to find a farmer's field to sleep in?
My favorite part about writing for games is the early stage when you are defining characters. You write fluff text and character traits that players will never see but it's that stuff that really gives life to the writing.
