The fire was caused by a deep fat fryer in the kitchen at 7.30am, just 30 mins after they opened up for the day. The fire affected roughly three-quarters of the building. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

FOLKESTONE update: The tower feature of Morrisons supermarket collapsed in on the building during a major fire which has caused major damage to the store this morning. The fire reportedly started in the store’s café. No reports of any casualties at this time. Vid Brad Hodgkinson.
