Been working on the visual side of Project Smol and wanted to share this piece of Smidge overlooking the Drowned Kingdom. 🐉 Smidge is the main character in an ongoing fantasy story I’m building around the project. He hatched beneath the ruins of the Drowned Kingdom after an ancient energy called the Blue Flame returned. He has no idea who hid his egg, what destroyed the kingdom, or why the ruins seem to recognize him. That mystery is basically the backbone of the story. I’m trying to build this more like a real character universe over time — chapters, lore, new characters, art, videos, and eventually something we can turn into an illustrated book. Still early, but I’m enjoying watching the world grow around him. Small beginnings. Bigger destinies.

PROJECT SMOL — CHAPTER II: THE FIRST CALL 🐉⚡ Smidge had hatched into a world he had never seen. No voices welcomed him. No dragons waited outside the Moonwell. Only ruins. Water. And silence. But the kingdom had noticed him. 🧵 The moment Smidge stepped onto the ancient stone, a symbol beneath his foot began to glow. Then another. And another. A trail of electric-blue runes stretched away from the Moonwell and disappeared into the darkness. Smidge hesitated. Then followed. The path led him through parts of the Drowned Kingdom untouched for centuries. Collapsed halls. Flooded courtyards. Broken statues of dragons he had never known. Torn banners hanging from walls that still carried the scars of whatever happened here. Everywhere Smidge went, the runes awakened ahead of him. Almost as if the kingdom remembered the path. Or remembered him. Eventually, the trail led Smidge to a forgotten chamber. At its center stood an ancient altar. Above it floated a small flame of brilliant blue energy. The Blue Flame. As Smidge approached, the markings across his body began to glow. The flame reacted. And for one brief moment… Smidge saw another world. The Drowned Kingdom before its fall. Towers untouched by water. Dragons filling the sky. The kingdom alive. Then the vision changed. Smoke. Falling stone. Dragons fighting above the towers. Something enormous moving beneath the water. And a shadowed figure carrying a dragon egg toward the Moonwell. His egg. Before Smidge could understand what he was seeing, the vision disappeared. The chamber became silent again. But somewhere deeper in the ruins… another symbol awakened. A symbol Smidge had never seen. Then came a sound. Distant. Heavy. Stone moving against stone. Smidge turned toward the darkness. For the first time since hatching, he understood something. The Blue Flame had not only awakened him. Something else had heard the call. Smidge stepped forward. His first journey had begun. Small beginnings. Bigger destinies. $SMOLDRAGON #ProjectSmol #SMOLDRAGON #DragonLore

PROJECT SMOL — CHAPTER I: THE MOONWELL 🐉⚡ Long before Smidge opened his eyes, the Drowned Kingdom had already fallen. Its towers were broken. Its bridges disappeared beneath the water. Its dragons were gone. But something beneath the ruins survived. 🧵 Deep below the flooded kingdom was a sanctuary known as the Moonwell. The rising waters never reached it. Ancient stone surrounded a perfectly still pool, and faint markings covered walls that had not been touched for centuries. At the center of the chamber rested a single dragon egg. Dark. Silent. Waiting. Someone had placed it there before the kingdom fell. Not abandoned. Hidden. Protected. Whatever happened above, someone believed this egg had to survive. Then, after centuries of silence, something returned. The Blue Flame. An ancient energy that once pulsed beneath the Drowned Kingdom like a heartbeat. It did not burn. It did not fade. And somehow, after all that time, it began moving again. One by one, ancient markings throughout the ruins awakened. Blue light traveled across forgotten walls, broken towers, and submerged temples. Every path pointed toward the Moonwell. Toward the egg. The Blue Flame reached the sanctuary. The final seal surrounding the chamber began to crack. For the first time in centuries… the egg moved. A thin line of electric-blue light appeared across its shell. Then another. And another. Until the Moonwell erupted in blue light. The shell broke. A small dragon opened his eyes. Dark scales. Curved horns. Blue light glowing beneath his skin. The first dragon seen in the Drowned Kingdom for generations. His name was Smidge. But Smidge did not know why he had been hidden. He did not know who saved him. He did not know what destroyed the kingdom. And he had no idea why the Blue Flame had awakened for him. He only knew one thing. He was no longer asleep. And neither was the kingdom. Small beginnings. Bigger destinies. $SMOLDRAGON #ProjectSmol #SMOLDRAGON #DragonLore

Most people scroll right past the beginning. They chase the next chart. The next meme. The next shiny thing. Meanwhile, Smidge is still hatching. 🐉⚡ Project Smol is building a real character, a real story, and a community around it — one chapter at a time. Some people won’t notice until later. That’s fine.
