How Leo Made $1,000–$2,000 a Day 📈
Abi:
"Am I correct to say you had like a thing going on where you wanted to make like $1,000 a day or something of that nature?"
Leo:
"Yeah, so I mean my continuation model most of the time I just target a strict 1.5R. So it depends on capital I'm trading, but a lot of the times I'll do between $250-$500 of risk to make between 750 to 1,000."
"Over the summer, I had a streak where I was doing about 3 to 4 months of about 1,000 to 2,000 a day."
Abi and Leo give advice to traders who pass their evals and get funded.
Abi:
"Well you trade a lot different when you're funded versus when you're in an eval. So whatever you're risking now, try risking half of it so you don't feel that extra urge. Like every red feels different, every green feels different.
Leo:
"You start to psychologically perceive it as real money in comparison to an eval which is "fake money" quote on quote."
"Another thing too is setting limits on the amount that you trade. On evals it can be very easy to forget 'cause you just always wanna trade to pass the eval to get funded and then once you get funded you hit this stale point of being like "Oh what do I do now I'm so used to taking you know 15-20 trades a day, now it's so different." I mean you can do that but a lot of people choose not to out of fear of losing a funded."
"So limiting the amount of trades you take and keeping risk the same. A lot of people blow funded accounts by changing their risk per trade, but aggressively. Like if they're more confident on a position they will take a lot more risk and then if it ends up being a loss they go on tilt."
"Keeping risk the same and limiting the number of trades."
Mustang Trader Explains His Trading Strategy
"Basically I'm waiting for a good bounce off of VWAP with a little bit of volume and I wanna see volume come in. I wanna see volume and movement. Right now we're at a developing point of control on NQ, We are over VWAP and this isn't strong This is chopping around right here It's not doing anything worth getting into at the moment."
"If this starts to move up with a lot of volume I'll enter a long. If it wicks up drastically, hits one of the deviation bands I'll take a short."
"The reason for that is, when they wick up that quickly if there's low volume it's gonna come right back down, It's going to is kind of a bold statement but most of the time it comes right back down."
"So if it dips really hard, leaves a wick at the bottom I'm gonna go long back up to VWAP. If it pushes off here and just launches up I'm gonna end up taking a short at the high or hopefully at the high."
Austin Silver worries that the market could pull back after FOMC
"I'm worried that the FOMC causes us to pull back. I don't know, again I've only been doing this for not as long as some of the old guys on Twitter and stuff but my opinion is often going into FOMC you'll see a run-up in the market like this."
"It'll chop today before the news and then if we do pull back I wouldn't be surprised you know. Not necessarily 1,000 points, I'm not saying that I'm just saying a pullback wouldn't surprise me."
Austin Silver shows the CME's prediction for future interest rates.
"This chart says, today they're not going to change rates and then this is saying that as of right now which this will change after the the speech today, but there's a 76% chance that we hike rates 25 basis points at that meeting. So I get Twitter saying they don't think that's happening, but this from the CME they think it is happening."
"They think like what this chart means, is that we will be higher interest rates here and here, these are the the baseline rates and then these are the dates of the meetings."
"So by mid-2027, we'll be higher interest rates they're thinking. Not lower, there's not even a probability of it going this way."
Abi explains how she uses SVP to find key trading levels.
"There's this SVP here that marks out the volume profile for each day. So I set I set up my chart on a 30 minute and I put on the indicator and I mark out where the volume sat for yesterday."
"Most likely price does come back down. 80% of the time it comes back down to where all the volume was for yesterday. So that's what this line here is."
"Yeah that's kind of just something I watch."
Abi explains what She was doing wrong when She started trading.
"From the beginning or maybe like a month or 2 in I started copy trading and I just blew through so much money because I wasn't profitable."
"So instead of blowing one account for $100 I was blowing 5 for $500. Sometimes the worst that I ever did in a day was like blowing 3 sets of accounts. So I spent $1,500 in a day."
"But like because I was blowing the accounts, I was spending the money and it was sending me in a tilt. So it would just get to a point where I felt so bad about myself that I was like I would stop finally. But I'd be in tilt and I'd be like wanting to reset, reset, reset, It was terrible."
Sin City name Propr as the #1 Prop Firm
David:
"Guys if you haven't tried Propr, I would highly recommend you try it. Highly recommend you try it. This in my opinion across the board with prop firms UI and UX, it's in my opinion number one. It literally feels like you're trading on Bitunix or your favorite you know perp exchange, but it's a prop firm. It's super intuitive It's very customizable in terms of adjusting leverage."
JP:
"I love that it has the the drawdown on the chart itself."
David:
"Yeah it'll tell you, like look at this, this is that Nvidia trade it shows you where your max daily limit is right here. So if you're trying to figure out where to put your stop and you're like "Okay I wanna make sure I don't blow my account," Well there you go there's that line if your stop is below there you will hit your max daily loss limit and you will breach the account."
"Uh it shows you your liquidation and your max daily drawdown, also it'll show you if you wanna pass your evaluation with this trade your TP would have to be up here at $360."
"So again very intuitive. It's like the rules are almost identical, if not identical to breakout. You don't take profits during evaluation and there's no cap on profit taking and it's got no consistency rule, It's just max daily drawdown and max drawdown and for your evaluation phase a profit target. That's it."
"Once you're passed you get a funded account you can start withdrawing on it with profit, same max drawdown rule same max daily drawdown rule. No consistency rule. No "You have to put this many trades in and wait for the.." Nah, you make a trade you make 10K on the trade you take 80%."
Abi explains why sometimes taking smaller payouts is better than chasing unrealistic huge profits.
"I used to think $500 isn't enough, $300 isn't enough and I would be shooting for those big moves, thousands and that like in these accounts and I'd be like blowing through so many accounts trying to get there.
"One of my coaches used to say like "If you can take a payout if you are eligible for a payout doesn't matter if it's $100 or $1,000 or 10,000 like just take it."
"Don't try to hit this crazy target just take it because money is money and you wanna see returns on your investment. So if you're paying you know $500 for evals and then you have an option to take $1,000 out, well you need to capitalize on that money, you need to make it legitimate.
