I went before the house affairs committee twice to testify on behalf of veterans @DanPatrick has tried to ban hemp in Texas and we have fought tooth and nail to keep it from happening.
In December, the federal goverment will go through with a full-on ban unless you call your reps.
Word around Congress is that the hemp industry is too big to kill at this point. It’s a 29 billion dollar industry that happened in eight short years when it was created by McConnell who then turned around and banned it.
Come December, 1 million Americans will be out of work because of this Republican led ban.
For months @DanPatrick dragged Texans away from their lives and jobs to come testify against his big alcohol backed hemp ban.
Dan Patrick has taken over
1 million in donations from big booze companies to eliminate the hemp market that’s been crushing them.
Combat Veterans turned out in the hundreds to stand against this government overreach. Dan Patrick said he wanted men and women like us in prison for using hemp. The same hemp he supports being sold under the Texas compassionate use program (TCUP).
THC has been instrumental in combating PTSD and helping to curb veteran suicide numbers. As a veteran advocate, we want it legal and not have to rely upon the VA that sends out horrible medications with multiple side-effects.
Dan Patrick held property tax bills hostage until he got his ban. He didn’t get his ban, we didn’t get property tax relief.
He even said if THC ban is what gets him not reelected, he’s ok with it. Dan Patrick has lied to Texas voters and thrown Texas veterans under the bus. He accused us of selling to children and intentionally getting people addicted. THC isn’t addictive. Never has been.
Come November, vote Dan Patrick out. Combat be grand stand agaisnt @DanPatrick

Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin.
