A degen’s perspective from the trenches 🫟 I spend plenty of time in the trenches, and somewhere along the way I found Ink. The more time I spend here, the more I think about the opportunity @inkonchain has right now. Volume is building. There are projects launching, builders helping each other and people discovering what they can do on the chain. With $INK TGE, there’s a chance to turn that interest into lasting loyalty. More projects choosing Ink, existing projects bridging over, deeper liquidity, more trading and more activity around xStocks. I believe it could kickstart a run on Ink NFTs, with some of that energy eventually reaching other chains too. BONK, JTO and ARB showed different ways community distributions can help build momentum. They weren’t the only reason those ecosystems grew, but they show what rewarding a community can help set in motion. Look at what’s happening here already. We have $WIRED and PRTSCN, @Quotrons404 building toward its move, experimentation around Chimera404 and xStocks, and @OrcsOnINK trying to give back through its final epoch. What I like is seeing builders helping one another. Sharing ideas, connecting projects and trying something different. Even the smaller projects without big budgets or huge followings are contributing to what Ink is becoming. I hope that gets considered when it comes to the airdrop. People are interested in different things. Some trade on Nado. Some use Kraken Wallet. Others buy NFTs, launch or trade tokens, learn to bridge, provide liquidity or have a go at building their first project. Yes, some are only here to farm the airdrop. But others might arrive for the same reason and end up finding something they want to stick around for. Should one way of participating automatically count more than another? I understand why volume matters. But I don’t think it should be the whole picture. Consistency, supporting projects, experimenting and building something original should matter too. That doesn’t mean every action deserves the same reward. Someone connecting a wallet once is different from someone participating for months. But a smaller wallet shouldn’t automatically mean a smaller contribution to the community. It’s easy to see who brought the most money. It takes a bit more thought to recognise who helped make people want to be here. Some airdrop money will leave. That’s inevitable. But some could go straight into someone’s next NFT, their first liquidity position, another trade or a project they’ve wanted to launch. That’s the opportunity I see. Give people a reason to feel valued, alongside things they actually want to use, and I believe a lot of that support comes back into the ecosystem. Get it right and the impact could last well beyond claim day.
