My wife said she was exhausted from constantly worrying about the bills and asked me to take care of our finances for a while. I agreed, figuring it might help us see where our money was going and finally put something aside for the house renovations we’d been talking about.
During the first week, I went through our bank statements, credit card purchases, and automatic payments. I expected to uncover a few needless expenses, but I wasn’t ready for how much we were spending on things that barely registered with either of us.
We were paying for streaming services neither of us watched, a meal delivery membership we’d completely forgotten about, and several recurring app charges. Then there was the takeout, we were ordering it almost every other day.
Once I totaled everything, it came to nearly $900 a month.
That night, I sat down with my wife at the kitchen table and showed her the breakdown....

in 8th grade, my friend marcus borrowed five dollars from me for the vending machine at school and never paid me back.
i didn't care at first. but around sophomore year it became a running joke. every birthday, every graduation, every random group chat, i'd bring it up. "marcus, you still owe me five dollars." he'd always say "i'll get you eventually."
fifteen years went by. we went to different colleges, got different jobs, and somehow stayed close. i even put "$5 - marcus" in my phone notes just to keep the joke alive.
last month he got married, and he asked me to be his best man. i stood up to give my toast, and before i could even start, he grabbed the mic out of my hand.
"before anything else, i'd like to settle a debt," he said. the whole room went quiet.
My daughter is eight months old, and I can confidently say I’ve slept through almost every single night since she was born. My wife, on the other hand, wakes up whenever the baby cries, needs feeding, or just decides nobody deserves sleep.
Before anyone judges me, I handle most of the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and other chores around the house. We’ve somehow fallen into this arrangement without ever discussing it.

I invented the feature that became our flagship product.
My name was on the first draft of the patent.
When it filed, only my director's name remained.
He said it was "standard for inventors under grade twelve."

My company promoted the coworker I trained, then asked me to explain to him how to do the job I was denied.
I had worked there for three years.
I was the person everyone called when a client threatened to leave, a project fell behind, or a system stopped working.
My manager, Rebecca, always told me the same thing.
Rebecca: “Keep this up. When the senior position opens, you'll be my first recommendation.”
I believed her.
When the position finally opened, I worked weekends preparing a proposal showing how I could improve the entire department.
Two weeks later, the announcement came.
The promotion went to Kevin.
He had been on our team for eight months.
I congratulated him publicly.
Then I walked into Rebecca's office.
Me: “Can you explain why I wasn't considered?”
Rebecca: “Kevin has a fresh perspective.”
Me: “I've been doing half the responsibilities of that position for over a year.”
Rebecca: “You're excellent at execution. Kevin has more leadership potential.”
I left without saying another word.
But the real betrayal hadn't started yet.

It's very difficult to be a teenage girl - hormones, mean girls, beauty expectations, boys, grades, college expectations - I would never want to be a teenage girl again. 25 maybe, but a teenager, never.
Spend some time with your daughter. Take her out to lunch or dinner or make a special meal at home. Go for a walk. Play a board game. Take a cooking class. Hold her hand. Provide the opportunity for her to talk to you. Talk to her about your day. Make sure she knows just how important she is.
When she's ready to tell you whats bothering her, she will. However, teenagers appreciate privacy so it's possible that she'll never tell you what's wrong. If she does tell you, DO NOT JUDGE. She could be pregnant or a lesbian or perhaps she acted like a mean girl to someone else. Whatever the problem is, make sure she knows you're part of the solution and love her unconditionally, you are on her team.

His boss thought he was the hardest worker in the company. Then he started leaving at 5 p.m.
For six years, Michael arrived early, stayed late, answered emails on weekends, and accepted every assignment his manager gave him.
He believed hard work was the fastest way to get promoted.
Whenever he asked about his future, his boss told him, “You’re valuable to this company. Keep doing what you’re doing.”
So Michael kept sacrificing.
He missed family dinners and postponed vacations. One year, he watched his daughter blow out her birthday candles through a video call because he was finishing a project.
He told himself it would all be worth it when the promotion finally came.
Then Lauren joined the team.
She was good at her job, but she did something Michael had never dared to do.
At 5 p.m., she shut down her computer and went home.
She finished her assignments, communicated clearly, and protected her personal time without making excuses.
Michael assumed she lacked ambition.
Three months later, their manager appointed Lauren to lead a major project.
Michael couldn’t understand it. He had given the company six years of his life. She had barely been there twelve weeks.
The next morning, he asked his boss for an explanation.
What he heard changed the way he viewed his career.

Making hubby cùm over pics of my friends
As you may see from some of my other posts on what me and hubby get up to behind closed doors, we like to be adventurous and push the limits.
We’ve been together a long time and of course normal sèx is fine but can get stale, I think roleplay and introducing other people makes it even more fun and so does he.
We’ve already had various smoke and drink fuelled fantasy/ roleplay nights but I wanted to take it to the next level - starting to discuss real people we know and he’s hinted at it before too
I know he’s got a pervy eye on many of my friends (even family) so I got up socials of them looking slutty and starting jèrkìng/ sucking him over them. Which is not far off our usual movie nights enjoying Lindsay Lohan but even more fun as they’re people we know
