Bernd Leno:
“I’d like to apologise to Aston Villa, the owners & the fans.
My actions this week were deceitful & wrong
I can assure Villa fans it had nothing to do with McGinn missing but I can understand I must have distracted him so apologies
Good luck tommorow UTV!” #ffc #avfc
IFAB law 14.1 states a goalkeeper must not ‘behave in a way that that unfairly distracts the kicker, eg touch the goalposts or crossbar’
John McGinn missed his penalty for #AVFC against Fulham with Bernd Leno touching the bar while he was running up to take it.
Former referee Dermot Gallagher confirmed on Ref Watch that it should’ve been re-taken and it was missed by VAR.
Aston Villa can confirm legal proceedings have been opened with each away fan in attendance for unfairly trying to put off McGinn.

Looking forward to Coventry away tomorrow. Will be another away ground ticked off. Just seen that the last time we beat Coventry (1967), my Dad was in the team! Admittedly, the 2 sides have only met 5 times since then #FulhamFC #FFC #FollowFulhamAway

Many didn't understand why Palacios played as a forward yesterday.
I had already seen Cesar play in that position, he helped maintain control and possession of the ball.
I’m not sure if Muniz possesses that same level of technical ability to do that.

Josh King really reminded me of Moussa Dembele today. On the half turn, gliding around the pitch. Moussa couldnt finish either 🤣 But boy, what a joy to watch
