Terrible news from Spain: Tenerife player Jesus de Miguel has sadly passed away.
The striker has could not overcome the serious consequences of the incident suffered during the match against FC Andorra.
A devastating loss for Tenerife and whole football world.
Prayers and thoughtd go out to his family, friends, teammates, and everyone at CD Tenerife during this difficult time.
Rest in peace. 🕊️

54 minutes in and it’s the biggest pile of horse crap I’ve seen all season.
Too many of these players need to be shipped out quickly. #NUFC

This is what lead to the free kick 😂😂 football is pointless
This is an absolute fucking joke. Look at this challenge. Joelinton wins the ball, both players have a raised foot, and Tino Barry goes to ground after the challenge.
Craig Pawson gives the free kick, and Newcastle end up 1-0 down as a result.
Absolutely ridiculous refereeing. Craig Pawson has had a shocker.

😠 Matthias Jaissle says his NUFC players did not adhere to his match plan, which was NOT to play long balls
"There is big frustration & disappointment. We could not not transfer what we saw in the week, training in a high level. Since the start of the game, not much was seen. That is difficult to understand.
"We were not brave enough to break the line and play on the ground. We saw it in training, but there was almost nothing to see from these aspects in the game. In possession, this was not the level we wanted to see.
"If you just play long balls, it’s not the style Osula prefers & that was not the plan. We need to analyse this in depth, why we could not start the game how we planned. I’m responsible for that, to make it work.
"We have a clear identity of how we want to play. To bring the opposition in stressful situations high in the pitch. We spoke about creating 1-on-1 situations. The plan was not to shoot the long balls."

Never a foul by Joelinton, freekick given, straight from the freekick, Schar hit in the face, goal given?!

If this is you....hold your fucking head in shame.
You are not one of us, you don't represent us. Don't ever come back to the CBS.
I don't care what age he is - you don't go showing that picture to Sunderland fans, or any fans.
Fuck off

Never ever understand this, Bradley Lowery was a 6 year old child who died of cancer ❌
Why would you even do that to the Sunderland fans ??? xitter.gq/RokerReport/status/211…

💔 There is absolutely no place for this in our game.
I sincerely hope the Police and Coventry City identify and track down the so-called 'fan' who thought mocking this young lad yesterday was in any way acceptable.
The vast majority of genuine Coventry supporters will be just as disgusted by the idiot as the rest of the football community. These situations usually have a way of catching up with the people responsible, and let’s hope justice is served swiftly once again.
Absolute scum of society ☹️
Cancer has no colours and some things are way more important than a game of football ⚫⚪🔴⚪

But he ‘chose to stay’
Thank god I work in PR and can see straight through his bullshit statement.
If Chelsea had paid the cash he’d have gone simple as that.
But he’s done this at every club hasn’t he - or at least ended on bad terms
Not for the first time this season, Granit Xhaka has been a passenger off the ball this afternoon.
He’s far from the only one at fault, but his performance has been well below the standard you’d expect from Sunderland’s captain.

You will probably say I'm the biggest Nick Woltemade fan; maybe I am. But let's get the facts right.
NICK WOLTEMADE
Newcastle signed him from VfB Stuttgart on 30 August 2025, aged 23, for £65m.
He scored 4 goals in his first 6 Premier League appearances, including against Arsenal. He also scored on his Champions League debut against Union Saint-Gilloise.
By the end of 2025, he had already scored 8 goals for Newcastle. Remember, this was his first season in English football.
By Jan, Eddie Howe had gone mad and wanted to take this club to relegation. He started playing Nick as a DM 🥺
He left him on the bench most of the time to accommodate Wissa.
By the end of the season, he had a total of 11 goals and 6 assists. That's 17 g/a in all competitions.
Now let's come to Wissa
A 40-year-old man who has been in the EPL for 5 years.
Signed for £55m, close enough to that of Nick.
But guess what, he didn't play a single game for Newcastle till 6th of December 2025.
Scored only 2 goals for us in 2025.
By the end of the season, he managed only 2 goals and 3 assists.
5 g/a
This season, Wissa has only managed to score a single goal, which was assisted by Nick.
Whereas Nick is the top Scorer in the European league with 3 goals and 1 assist with his New loan team, Juventus.
I know Nick didn't play to his full potential here, but Pls Don't put Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa in the same sentence.
Nick has done better with limited backing than Wissa, who is the worst player I have seen play at this club.#NUFC
🚨 £106m wasted: Newcastle are being rinsed by worse signings than Woltemade
- Yoane Wissa and Matias Fernandez-Pardo cost Newcastle a combined £106m
- Wissa joined from Brentford last summer for £55m
- He scored once in the Premier League last season and has one in seven this term
- The 30-year-old has also missed four big chances this campaign
- Fernandez-Pardo arrived from Lille for around £51m at the end of the window
- He has lost his place as frontman after declaring centre-forward his best position
- Nick Woltemade cost a club-record £69m from Stuttgart in 2025
- He managed only one Premier League goal after Christmas before a loan to Juventus
- Woltemade is still struggling to establish himself in Turin
- Matthias Jaissle's side were beaten by Everton in the Carabao Cup on Thursday
