I've held my tongue long enough! I need to rant about a long-standing and ongoing problem with #OldWorld: YOU CAN'T SEE WHAT YEAR IT IS WHEN YOU'RE IN A CITY SCREEN Seriously, though, the interface in #OldWorld is a thing of absolute beauty!

(But I still wish I could see what year it is when I'm in an Old World city screen planning my economy!)

All I want is a thoroughly tested & tuned total conversion mod for #OldWorld in which the default nations are replaced with Native American tribes expanding, bumping into each other, politicking, warring, and eventually dealing with European incursions. Or a Dune mod. I'm easy.

My Brain: Tom, you don't have to keep watching this cringe-worthy Jamie Foxx vampire comedy on Netflix. You can just turn it off, you know. Me: Sorry, I can't hear you, I'm watching a movie waiting to see if it will get good. Can we talk after?

Regardless of my opinion of Nope, I agree with Kellywand that it should be seen in a theater. Lovely cinematography from one of my favorite cinematographers, with nighttime scenes that should be seen on a big bright -- but not too bright! -- screen. quartertothree.com/fp/2022/0…
