A bit of perspective on gold’s recent breakout, stack it up against the big runs in 1972, 1978, or 2008, and it looks like a tiny blip.
In the late 1970s, gold didn’t just climb; it went vertical, multiplying several times in just a few years. Today’s move might grab headlines, but in the grand sweep of history, it’s barely stretching its legs.

With silver nearing $50, where the rallies in 1980 & 2011 collapsed, many people worry that history will repeat.
But I’m not, because the situation today is very different, as silver is significantly cheaper by numerous measures.

1) We should see a constant flow of drill results at Elizabeth Hill - Australia’s highest-grade silver mine. The first results weren’t just good, they were world-class, and critically near the surface.

Is #TSLA #Tesla now a buy??
Tesla is looking like a neutral to soft buy for me. My proprietary formula is saying soft buy. But I would scale into this and try DCA where you can. It could retest the 200 SMA for support. Recent price action however is positive with price moving above the 200MA and Ichimoku cloud. The next logical target would be a swing high level around $198.
Let's look at our first plot on our chart which looks at drawdown% and standard deviation as a proxy for risk. For, each month over the last 5 years we use the 1st close of the month and measure against the lowest close in that same month as our % drawdown. We have also worked out the average drawdown% for each month and the standard deviation of close price for each month. We can see that June is one of the lowest risk months. That's good for entry and gives us an idea where to set our stop-loss.
Our second plot is a simple investment return calculation / plot if you had held Tesla 12 months ago vs now and we compare this against some relevant benchmarks. We can see over the last 12 months a buy and a hold strategy with Telsa would have been poor, returning -30.68% compared with successful alternatives. However, the positive for entering now is it looks like a bottom may be in and we have 58.7% of growth above us to return to return to the highest close in the last 12 months. So there is upside. I personally wouldn't hold any tech stocks for long trades at the moment as I will uneasy about a top in the general stock market / tech companies. I may allocate a small amount here for a short-term trade and DCA.
Respect your stop-loss always. Goodluck

JUST IN: Berkshire Hathaway’s cash pile reached a new all-time high of $189 BILLION in Q1 2024.
This is a $19 billion increase from their cash balance seen in Q4 2023, and a 70% increase in cash since 2022.
To put this in perspective, Berkshire Hathaway’s cash balance is larger than the market cap of Starbucks and Target combined.
When asked about this, Warren Buffet said "I don’t mind at all, given current conditions, building our cash position."
Why is Buffett holding so much cash?
