It's easy to read this post and think it's about feedback loops and governance discussions.
I think that might be a part of it, but there's something else at the heart of the post and that is the absence of from the ground up voting and a complete lack of true representation, for everyone, as it is listed in the TENETS.
What if the issue isn't about feedback, platforms, or the when, where, and how discussions occur?
What if the issue is more specific to treasury management and governance? Is this hybrid dPoS ideal for treasury governance?
Is the absence of direct participation disenfranchising to the average stakeholder? Are their other ppl or groups that dont feel represented?
Should there be a discursive or dialectic democratic mandate? Does the current Constitution allow for this? How would we capture that onchain?
When do we stop to consider these questions? Or are we going to continue building products in silos that arent addressing the integrity of several fundamental principles?
There's no good feedback loop in Cardano governance.
Those who vote aren't necessarily those who build and use the chain. You can sit on a ton of $ADA for years, never use anything on-chain and still have more voting power than anyone who's used all of it.
This needs to change. We need voting to be bottom-up not top-down.
I have my own solutions and will be building them into StarchPay. I hope that can be an example we can use to make Cardano better.
While most Floridians sleep, more than 30 million migrating birds can fly across the Sunshine State in a single night during peak Fall migration in late September and October.
This beautiful 1963 painting by Wallace Hughes shows a flock of Canada geese flying over a Florida sunset – a sight many Floridians have had the opportunity to witness over the years.
But Canada geese aren’t the only ones taking flight. More than 400 species of North American birds will migrate through or over Florida during the Fall migration period, which runs from July through late November. @America250FL

In the event that you aren't paying attention & still happen to be enveloped in your curated, inconsequential, ideological of choice...

Wages are down, profits are up.
Corporations are getting tax breaks, deregulations, and busting unions, while workers are getting suppressed wages, slashed benefits and higher costs.
Almost everyone of your problems can be traced back to this chart.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The image is misleading for 2 reasons:
- it commits a “chart crime” by using two different Y-axis.

- Compensation has shifted from wages to benefits, which is hidden from this chart; workers get ~19% of compensation via benefits now, vs as low as 2% historically.

Following the Midnight Foundation's recent wind-down of its developer relations team, my time at Midnight has come to an end.
I built the developer education and AI developer tools, a dozen-video series explaining how ZKP and network implementation, a certification academy, and an MCP server downloaded 10,000+ times. Some of my favourite moments were the conversations, from fireside chats with builders to the hours spent alongside partner teams shipping on the network. Thank you to the team, the developer community, and every partner I worked with.
Before Midnight, I spent over two years at Axelar working hands-on with partner teams building cross-chain applications. I designed their integrations, reviewed their code, and wrote the reference implementation developers used to send messages between blockchains.
Before developer relations, I spent over four years as a backend engineer, building systems serving tens of thousands of users, data pipelines, and enterprise software for banks and telecoms. I also founded Web3 Afrika, a community of builders. That engineering background is what I bring to developer relations: I can sit with a team, read their code, and help them ship to production.
Now I'm looking for my next role in developer relations, forward-deployed engineering, developer experience, developer support, solutions engineering, or AI engineering. I'm based in UK with a UK Global Talent visa, so no sponsorship is needed in the UK, and I'm open to remote or hybrid. Available now.
If your team is hiring, or you know one that is, I'd love to hear from you. An intro or a repost would mean a lot.

Around 77 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous period, North America looked very different from today...
The continent was split by a vast inland sea called the Western Interior Seaway, which stretched from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Ocean, effectively dividing the landmass into Laramidia to the west and Appalachia to the east. The climate was warmer than today, with no polar ice caps, and sea levels were much higher.
The western landmass, Laramidia, featured mountain ranges forming along the edge of the seaway, along with lush forests, floodplains, and river systems. This region was home to a rich diversity of dinosaurs, including famous species like Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Edmontosaurus, and Ankylosaurus, as well as smaller theropods and early birds. The eastern landmass, Appalachia, is less well-known because fewer fossils have been preserved, but it also supported dinosaurs, crocodilians, turtles, and early mammals.
Marine life thrived in the seaway, including mosasaurs, plesiosaurs, giant sea turtles, ammonites, and early fish species. The flora consisted of conifers, cycads, ferns, and early flowering plants, supporting both terrestrial herbivores and insect populations.

For community awareness, new operator and a new ticker don't mean a new owner.
The existing pool IDs remain the same, the delegations don't have to move, and operational control can simply be transferred by providing Shunsuke with the existing cold private keys.
That's pretty much it.
Unless the ownership of the pools has actually changed, which nobody outside the parties involved could independently prove anyway, since there is no way to know whether copies of those keys are still retained, changing the operator or ticker doesn't change who owns the underlying pools.
And that's what makes the whole announcement a little confusing to me. Why make such a big statement about “transferring” the pools when, technically, what appears to have happened is that the existing cold keys were copied and provided to a new operator?
The delegations don't need to move precisely for that reason.
And of course, the decision to do this instead of having Shunsuke create his own stake pools and transferring the delegations EMURGO actually controls to those new pools tells us something too.🤨😮💨
Hopefully those keys, nor their encrypted versions, were ever exposed through an insecure or hot environment during the "transfer". 🤞
An update on the EMURGO and @YoroiWallet stake pools:
As referenced in our previous posts regarding EMURGO’s withdrawal from Cardano governance, including our decision to step back following the SecondFi security incident and our intention to de-register as a Cardano DRep, we are making a few operational updates.
Operational control of the EMURGO and Yoroi stake pools (EMURGO 1, EMURGO 2, EMURGO 3, EMURGO 4, EMURGO 5, EMURGO 6 and YOROI) has been transferred to Shunsuke Murasaki (@MurasakiCardano). Many in the community will know Murasaki as a long-time member of the Cardano community, with especially strong ties in Japan, Indonesia, and Singapore, as well as an early employee at EMURGO before leaving earlier this year to pursue new adventures. We have full faith in his integrity to Cardano over the long term.
These updates have been processed operationally and will be formally reflected onchain in coming days.
Key details for delegators:
- No action required: Delegations and staking rewards continue uninterrupted, and existing delegations carry over automatically.
- Unchanged pool IDs: Pool IDs remain identical. Murasaki will share a separate confirmation regarding any upcoming changes to the pool names and tickers.
- Non-custodial staking: As always, staking on Cardano remains entirely non-custodial, leaving delegators free to re-delegate to any pool whenever they choose.
Anyone have any suggestions for this space under the window?
