1,000 people screaming. Your microphone records ONE waveform for all those 1000 voices. Not 1,000 separate tracks. One signal containing all those voices. How the hell does that work? Turn your sound on. Hear two tones become one waveform and watch exactly how it happens. Audio → ML · Episode 05

Stay tuned. We are planning a lot of things as we grow. 💐Join our community Discord link in reply
A conversation in our Discord turned into an X Space yesterday :) We had @Quaxguy from the Point One Engineers community host a session on audio domain expansion, with 230 people tuning in. We talked about audio, speech systems, spectrograms, STT/TTS pipelines and where the space is heading This is exactly what we want Point One Engineers to be, engineers bringing up things they’re exploring, and the community turning those conversations into something bigger. Silence is not just absence of sound but also when two sound waves cancel each other out. But how does that even work? Play two matching notes with their waves lined up, and the sound gets louder. Shift one by half a cycle, and they cancel each other out. That’s phase. In this video, hear the difference, watch the waveforms, and see the level meter drop to silence. Audio → ML · Episode 04: Phase

230 folks is no joke for a new born community. @Quaxguy thanks for the talk man, hope to see you in many such spaces.
230 peeps!! What an absolute turnout today, with folks joining in from SF and everywhere else. Huge kudos to @Quaxguy for organizing our very first space and getting the conversation started. And honestly, this is the beginning. more to come, more to go on :) So, guys, if you are still new to this space or simply someone who's insanely curious about AI or looking for hiring opportunities ahead, do join the community. Would love to have you all :)

Learning Audio Engineering and ML in 2026 got me 3 interviews and a remote job. Continuing with my Audio Series : How can a speaker, mechanical or human create humming and deep sounds both from same mechanical bodies and systems. In the below video: Hear 100 Hz and 1000 Hz, then watch how their vibrations differ. See what frequency measures and why a taller wave doesn’t mean a higher pitch. Audio → ML · Episode 02: Frequency The series continues. Help me #Connect @X algo we need people to and about audio ML.

Both photos show the same man — my father, Sanjay Kumar, 55. The second was taken this week in the ICU at KIMS Hyderabad, where machines are breathing for him. I'm his son, and this thread is my request to help save his life. Fundraiser Link : ketto.org/fundraiser/my-fath…

Every time you submit code on LeetCode or Codeforces, your code runs on a server somewhere but not directly on the host machine. That code could try to access files, use the network, eat up memory, or spawn endless processes making your system prone to security issues also can cause a hefty cloud bill. what prevents that from going horribly wrong? I’m building my own online judge to find out. Part 3: Docker, containers, file mounts, network isolation, restricted privileges, and resource limits. systemsfromscratch.hashnode.…

Published Part 2 of my “How to Build an Online Judge” series. This one is about Python subprocesses. I covered how one program can: • start another program • send input • capture output • inspect exit codes • handle timeouts Next, I’m taking the same runner and moving execution inside Docker. Online Judge covers almost all important aspects of CS viz. security, scalability, queuing, messaging brokers, processes. systemsfromscratch.hashnode.…

Huge victory for our movement! The Police has now released all detainees just before one hour ago. They had illegally been detained for peacefully protesting for over a day, but the Police has had to bow down to public pressure. The CJP is no longer conducting its dharna at the Delhi Police HQ.

🦔Microsoft canceled its internal Claude Code licenses this week after token-based billing made the cost untenable, even for a company with effectively infinite cloud resources. Uber's CTO sent an internal memo warning the company burned through its entire 2026 AI budget in just four months. American AI software prices have jumped 20% to 37%, and GitHub (owned by Microsoft) is dropping flat-rate plans for usage-based billing across its products. My Take The AI subsidy era is ending in real time. The same company that put $13 billion into OpenAI and built the Azure infrastructure powering most of Anthropic's compute just looked at the bill from a competitor's coding tool and decided it was not worth paying. That is not a productivity failure on Anthropic's end. Token-based pricing is forcing every enterprise customer to confront the actual cost of running these models at scale, and the number turns out to be far higher than the flat-rate experiments suggested. This ties directly to my Gemini Flash post yesterday. Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google all raised effective prices in the last six months. Enterprises that built workflows assuming AI costs would keep falling are now watching annual budgets evaporate in months. Two outcomes look likely from here. Either enterprises scale back AI usage to fit budgets, which slows the revenue ramp the labs need to justify their valuations ahead of IPOs, or the labs cut prices and absorb the losses, which makes the unit economics worse at exactly the wrong moment. Both paths land in the same place, the numbers stop working, and somebody has to take the writedown. Hedgie🤗
