SB 437 became law last year, requiring CSU to study genealogy verification for reparations for Black Americans descended from U.S. chattel slavery.
The October 1 deadline came and went with no report. But thanks to pressure from @cjecofficial ,CSU finally released a status update.
They’ve selected Sacramento State, Cal State Long Beach, and San Diego State to conduct the research, with Sacramento State leading.
Let’s be clear: We didn’t believe another study was necessary in the first place. But if you’re going to do it, GET IT DONE!
LEAP, CJEC, and our coalition partners will be watching every step. We’re not letting CSU off the hook. Our community has waited long enough. No more delays!

Our 2026 Candidate Forum was an overwhelming success! Thank you to everyone who came out and participated!
As American Freedmen, we must be intentional about vetting candidates, asking tough questions, and holding them accountable. Our votes cannot be taken for granted. We need to know where candidates stand on issues that directly impact our community, especially lineage-based reparations, and whether they have a real agenda to address our needs.
This is why forums like these matter. Political engagement is about more than showing up on Election Day. It’s about making sure those seeking to represent us understand our history, our priorities, and our expectations.

If the congregation simply knew these verses in the Bible, they'd know they're not sitting under the leadership of prophets, but of false teachers:
"An overseer (pastor), therefore, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife" (1 Timothy 3:2).
And if that wasn't clear enough, it's repeated again:
"An elder (pastor) must be blameless, the husband of one wife" (Titus 1:6).
The Bible stresses one wife for a reason: sinful men in positions of authority love to use their authority to coerce multiple women into sexual relationships, even though God only blesses marriages between one man and one woman for one lifetime (Matthew 19:4-6).

I have received a statement from DHS regarding Sam Sey:
“On October 21, ICE arrested Samuel Sey, an illegal alien from Ghana, at the Columbus International Airport. Sey entered the United States legally in 2022 but overstayed his length of admission by over four years, in violation of our nation’s laws. Sey has no pending applications and accepted voluntary departure. He will remain in ICE custody until removed from the United States.
“We do not pick and choose which laws to enforce or where to enforce them.
“We encourage all illegal aliens to take control of their departure with the CBP Home App. The United States is offering illegal aliens $3,000 and a free flight to self-deport now. We encourage every person here illegally to take advantage of this offer and reserve the chance to come back to the U.S. the right legal way to live the American dream. If not, you will be arrested and deported without a chance to return.” - DHS SPOX

I’m not gonna lie, Nithya is winning me over with her Black agenda for LA, especially on reparations. Karen Bass inherited Garcetti’s Reparations Advisory Commission, and I haven’t seen anything come out of it. As a Black Angeleno, I want to see action.
