Quest for Learning

walker.co.uk/michael-rosen-d… Such a great poet and author whose poems and stories we all know and love. #readingcommunity #readingforpleasure

@Quest_Learning had a great evening at the Didcot @PowerhouseFund quiz last night ... but the big question is, were we good enough to get through to the final?! #charity #community #local

Looking for something joyful and silly for #WorldPoetryDay? This is an absolute delight from @afharrold and longtime QfL supporter @Bonzetta1! #rhyme #poetrymagic

Being able to read isn't just essential for day to day tasks, it's also known to have a host of other benefits - including boosting happiness & health! For more info about the benefits of reading, check out BookTrust's website bit.ly/48RQS77 #InternationalDayofHappiness

Reading to your child at any point in the day is a great thing to do, but a bedtime story can be a very special time together - so on #WorldSleepDay, we thought we'd gather some of QfL's favourite bedtime stories - about bedtime! #readingforpleasure #literacy

Today's #FundersFriday shout out goes to the Christopher Laing Foundation whose generous support means that we are able to continue to support some of #Oxfordshire's most disadvantaged children with literacy and maths - enabling them to thrive at school and beyond! !

A big QfL welcome to Chris Higgins, our new Exec Director! ""It is an honour to have the opportunity to lead the charity and work with its great people to enable thousands more children to benefit from the charity's support in years to come." #newchapter #charityleadership

In her final blog, our outgoing Exec Director Sian Renwick reflects on her time at the charity and - on #employeeappreciationday - shares her thoughts on the importance of working with a great team! You can read it here bit.ly/3Il9wtc #teamwork #employeeappreciation

Yesterday was #tellafairytaleday - and the QfL teaching team know that taking a well known story and telling it in a fresh way is often great way to engage and excite reluctant readers. A recent addition to the BookQuest library is this fantastic version of an old favourite!

Covering core costs is always a challenge for small charities, so a heartfelt thank you to the Stanton Ballard Charitable Trust for their support - enabling us to continue our work with disadvantaged children across Oxfordshire, improving literacy and numeracy. #FundersFriday
