Before I left for work last night, something was telling me to bring my books with me. As I get to work, one of the employees who works in a different department mentioned that he wanted to get back into reading. A light switch went off in my head and I showed him the books I wrote. He was shocked and kept saying how awesome it was that I wrote them.
He asked me if he could buy two of them. I said of course. He asked how much I wanted for them. I told him only $15 for both, but he said, no, he was giving me $30 for both of them. The two books he bought of mine were “Hidden Beneath The Mask” and “H2dden Beneath The Mask”.
He also asked me if there was a third book in the series. I told him it wouldn’t be available until Halloween. Before I even sold him those books, he asked me where he could find my books. I told him on Amazon is where they’re at.
I basically gotta start promoting myself and my books because I could be overlooking many people who love reading. Ever since that incident, I’ve been inspired to step outta my comfort zone and start the process of promoting myself. One of my co-workers also mentioned to me that I could go around to towns and place stickers on poles, bus stops, etc. with my information on them and where to find my books.
I’m definitely gonna start doing that because y’all already know my love and passion for literature/poetry. I can’t wait until I’m finally able to say “I made it”. ♥️

Alright, beautiful people. I did say I’d start the poetry contest tomorrow, but I’ll give it an extra day. The poetry contest starts right now. Here’s the information for y’all to understand:
OBJECTIVE:
Write an appealing poem. It’ll be graded at the end of the contest. It can be any type of poem length, but IT HAS TO BE YOUR OWN WRITTEN POEM. It can be a Haiku, a story-type poem, a regular type poem, a rhyming poem, or a metaphoric-type poem, etc. It can be any genre of your choosing. Love, horror, fantasy, etc. Remember to put some thought into it so it’ll stand out from the other poems.
RULES:
If you have any errors/misspellings in your poem, you’re allowed to delete it and repost it, but you MUST let me know you’re doing so, so I don’t assume you’re dropping out of the poetry contest.
ONLY ONE POEM IS ALLOWED. If you post a poem but delete it to post a different one, you’ll be automatically disqualified. You must get EXPRESS PERMISSION from me in order to do so.
Poems after the end date of the poetry contest WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Poetry Contest start date: September 21st
Poetry Contest end date: October 1st
Winner will be announced on Halloween.
