I went from -$5,000 to debt free in 14 days on $60 an hour. Here is every number.

Scoreboard check: journey started about a month ago at minus $5,000. Every loan cleared in 14 days. Next stop is a $5,000 emergency fund, then $100,000 by the end of year 1. What is the next milestone on your own scoreboard?

Paying off debt has a scoreboard. Building savings does not. Nothing disappears, the balance just quietly grows. That is why I post every number publicly: it turns the boring part into progress you can actually see.

It really does. Most of my progress came from small things I stopped doing, not one big change.

Simple is what lasts. If I cannot see the money, I do not miss it, and that has done more than any budgeting app.

That is exactly how it feels. Paying off debt had a scoreboard. The fund just grows quietly, so I post the balance every week to keep it feeling real.
Quick one: should an emergency fund be 3 months of expenses, 6 months, or a flat number like $5,000 to start? Tell me which one you chose and why.

Mini story: a month ago I was at minus $5,000. Today I owe nothing, and every spare dollar has one job: build a $5,000 emergency fund by early December. Same income. Different habits.

That is the plan. Every payday, every side shift and every dollar invested will be posted, so the engine gets built in public, one week at a time.

Exactly. Net worth hides a lot of the work. Clearing debt does not always look exciting on a chart, but it changes everything that comes after.

Those forgotten subscriptions add up quietly. Nice win, and it is the kind that keeps paying every month.

Exactly right. When income is fixed for now, spending is the only lever you control today, and it is the one that moved my numbers first.

It really is. The first payday with nothing owed felt completely different from every one before it.

Agreed on both. Habits got me debt free, but income will have to do the heavy lifting from here, so that is the next focus.

One decision at a time is exactly how it worked for me. The small sacrifices stopped feeling like sacrifices after a couple of weeks.

You may be right, and that is what makes it worth tracking. If I fall short, every number will be public anyway. Either way, it will be an honest experiment.

Starting with 2M would make it easy. Starting at minus $5,000 is the harder version, and that is the one I am documenting.

Fair challenge, and it is meant to be ambitious. Right now it is a main income that is going up soon, plus 5 to 10 hours a week of side work. Every step of the engine will be shown publicly as it gets built.

Rate my plan for the next 3 years: $100,000 by the end of year 1, $400,000 by the end of year 2, and $1,000,000 by the end of year 3. Ambitious, realistic, or impossible?

Myth: you need a high income to build wealth. Reality: I started at minus $5,000 and cleared every loan in 14 days by cutting spending first. Income helps, but habits decide where it goes.

Working three jobs takes real strength. Wishing you that better paying role soon. Every bit of extra income that reaches the principal will start to speed things up.
