Hectic couple of months, but finally got to my first gig of the year last night. @themenzingers and @SpanishLuvSongs were both great. Both smashed it.
For a few years now North East music duo @Bendyrecords have done a fake John Lewis Christmas ad, putting their music, their music which is absolutely brilliant, over the top. This year, they’ve just done a alternative advert, and it’s absolutely beautiful m.youtube.com/watch?feature=…
Decorating the house ready for bambino number one’s arrival and @KerrangRadio play Arms Wide Open by Creed. Very fitting 😬👶

#AlbumReview - Steel Panther - Heavy Metal Rules
The issue with gimmicks is they invariably eventually run their course. That’s my fear for Steel Panther following the release of album number five.

#AlbumReview - @DragonForce - Extreme Power Metal
Well this album certainly does what it says on the tin. That uplifting power metal sound that we all know of Dragonforce and yes, it’s taken to the extreme! Wow! Beautiful powerriffs and face-melting guitar solos galore...
But what I also really love about @DragonForce’s eighth studio album is the songs as a whole. They’re not completely taken over by that fast-paced guitar work we know the band do. It’s hard to think of a bad song, and they’re accessible and catchy too! This is such good work
A personal favourite for me is Remembrance Day. When those bagpipes kick in. Man, that’s good! Overall it’s an epic album, full of monumental tracks that leave you feeling a sense of pride. It’s just so uplifting and so fun. I absolutely loved it!
#R2RRating: 9/10
