I started at Nevada as a walk-on. Now I work with the Nevada program.
Walking on taught me one thing: nobody owes you the next rep.
Earn it by how you answer the last one.
Take that into this weekend.

As many of you have heard Chaparral LB Connor Rios passed away last night. The family has set up a fundraiser and if you can find it in your heart to donate, here is the link. mealtrain.com/trains/ny9z2q

I walked on at Nevada. I finished as the Special Teams Player of the Year.
No one handed me that. I earned it one rep at a time.
Any athlete can use the same move this week: win the next rep.
No one handed me that. I earned it one rep at a time.

Jim Mastro was set to chase a national title at Miami. Instead, he returned to Reno to try and rebuild Nevada into a winner while playing an integral role in getting the Wolf Pack Fieldhouse built.

And we played this game on a Sunday night! We didn’t get back to Reno til 2 AM Monday morning and still had to go to class. Also we went 4-2 after this game to make the post season.
