Thanks to Professor Helmke for the opportunity to hear from Former Governor & Senator Evan Bayh this afternoon!
I asked the Senator about his role on the Banking Committee during the 2008 Financial Crisis.
Enjoyed hosting @SenEvanBayh in my @IUONeillSchool @IUBloomington class on “Legal History and Public Policy”-tough questions and strong answers on many issues, past, present & future
The Senator then went on to work on and pass the Dodd-Frank bill, which changed financial institutions more than any bill since the Great Depression.
Hearing Senator Bayh’s perspective on this issue was great — Talk about making decisions in crisis situations. Great lessons for an aspiring public servant like me to learn!
Again, thanks @PaulHelmke for setting this up and to @SenEvanBayh for speaking with my class!
Discussion is set to begin at Noon!
Today on Noon Edition we're talking about Bloomington's annexation. We'll touch on where the city is in the process and different official's points of view.

Without Alex Trebek, I'm certain that I wouldn't be the lover of inane trivia that I am today. He will certainly be missed, and his impact on me will not be soon forgotten. We allowed him into our homes every weeknight, and he reminded us that facts are important. Thanks, Alex.
"Enumerated Powers are the ones given to the Supreme Court, right?"
Teacher: "That was painful."
