Dumber and Dumber but in one single person
Kid Rock on Abdul El-Sayed: This man very much is assimilated. You know who else assimilated? Those pieces of shit that flew those planes into our World Trade Centers. This is Islamic extremism. Bill Maher: The hijackers weren't here assimilated. They were from Saudi Arabia.

It’s fun (no sarcasm!) to see how different the reaction to the Vision Pro and the Duo have been even if in both case, these are good v1 products (hardware wise) with a very high price tag. (Or both niche category devices considering the market share of foldable)
might have accidentally written 5,000 words about why i love the iphone duo it's the first gadget that's made me smile everytime i pick it up in years so flaws be damned, i love this thing check it out! bgr.com/2302400/iphone-duo-r…

It could also be that $2000 is easier to justify than $3,500 - although I do suspect that at equal price, a phone is easier to justify because we just spend so much time with one. Any delight coming from there resonates much more than a “this is the future” VR headset.

Anyway glad that this launch seems to shake the mobile world a little in a good way. Curious to read the reviews of the new MacBook Pros now!

Even if this were true and achievable, so what? Isn’t it the exact playbook Republicans have been following for over a decade?
My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will: 1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate. 2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority. 3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority. This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word. All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.

I wonder what’s the jurisprudence on that kind of defense. Sounds like a good reason to arrest them immediately and put them in a high risk cell more than anything else.

I don’t know man, one seems more topical than the other in 2026. You’d think.
NYT's Bret Stephens whines that Democrats know "Smotrich and Ben-Gvir" but not "the interior minister of Japan." Their "obsession" with Israel drives him "crazy." (Being politically informed on Israel is now anti-Semitic.)

I don’t want to jinx it, but it would be lovely if, for once, a trash man was to experience the consequence of his actions against women.
Russell Brand’s trial is devastating. Testimony describes him as a rabid animal, demanding sex every few hours from whoever happened to be around, and taking it regardless of consent Brand’s defense is that women knew he was a degenerate maniac, so they should have expected it by being in a room with him (several allege he attacked them in public and tried to drag them into bathroom stalls) This is separate from FIVE disturbing allegations in Channel 4 Dispatches. Brand has zero regard for women as human beings - I can’t even imagine how many victims there truly are Blows my mind that so many people peddle his lunacy portraying him as a truth-telling martyr being smeared by the establishment - and buy his newfound religious hucksterism Makes sense he’s leapt into the movement of sexual offenders and pedophiles, where he belongs (other than prison)

30% of French people are deeply dumb. I’m sure 10% is racists and for rest people stupid enough to “try something else” or “stick it to the man”. After the Brexit example and the US example.
She took a Russian bank loan, backed the Crimea annexation and met Putin in the Kremlin. Now Le Pen is forecast to top France's presidential first round with over 30%. She still won't say whether Russia is the main threat to Europe in Financial Times interview. 1/

Microsoft have not added any necessary new features to Word in over 20 years. Office 2003 is more than enough for literally anything you'd ever need to do.

Sounds like a solid summary of the inner workings of CBS under Weiss. Obvious bias, claim to be open to debate when in reality it’s all top down decisions with no room for genuine, good faith discussion. It’s a propaganda machine, another Fox News under a different name.
Just to piggyback on Jeremy's reporting here, other things I've heard from the meeting, which sources described as "completely unhinged" and "crazy," include that Shayndi Raice also suggested Holly Williams didn't really understand the October 7 story. Raice also defended excluding allegations against Netanyahu from their reporting, citing conversations she had with friends during a recent trip to Israel. That goes along with Raice questioning the validity of the Gaza death toll, calling it a "magical figure" while wondering what would be achieved by repeating it in the network's reporting. Also, while Raice insisted she welcomed editorial debate, she acknowledged that the changes she made to Williams's script were non-negotiable and that she told Williams she didn't want to discuss them during the meeting, even as she repeatedly defended her edits. The meeting was abruptly ended after reporters raised the broader concern over the ongoing perception of politically biased editorial interference under Weiss, adding that editors should be transparent about their interventions, with Raice returning to the importance of respecting managerial authority and once again warning against insubordination.

You know who isn’t talking about the Cornell 7? The same ones who wanted to “protect” girls in sports and women in bathrooms.

Say what you want but one thing I appreciate about Apple is that they never try that shit. The closest they’ve come is getting excited about spacial music and the MacPro trash can.
🇺🇸 Zuckerberg says that in 5 years you will have a personal AI that knows your life and does the work for you. "Everyone is going to have an agent that really intimately understands your goals and everything around you and can help you get stuff done." He means one assistant on money, health, the house, the calendar, running in the background all day. Meta wants that agent sitting inside the apps people already live in, so it becomes the way you get through a normal day. Writer: Lucas

Wait - I thought the smart way to do philanthropy was to lol at the results and nothing else. Any number about what the Gates foundation might have effectively done?
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong says donating to charity is net negative "The common view is that philanthropy is this noble cause, and Bill Gates is like 'I'm going to go rehabilitate my image and do philanthropy.'" "A lot of charities and philanthropies are actually net negative for the world and they get captured. It's remarkably hard to find a foundation that has not gotten captured by ideology.” “By trying to do something good, like criminal justice reform, it turns out they just increased crime. I have a donor advised fund and I put money toward things helping civilization advance, but I don't think at this moment I would ever create a foundation." "If you look at the Ford Foundation, I think Henry Ford would be turning over in his grave if he knew what they were up to.” “I have a DAF, a donor advised fund, and I just try to put money toward things that I think are helping civilization advance. But I don't think at this moment I would ever create a foundation."
