With 13 days to go, I’m glad you finally woke up to the fact that antisemitism exists on the left and the right, Cait.
It only took you multiple weeks to denounce Zohran Mamdani, all while one of his top allies, Linda Sarsour, is urging people to vote for you.
If you really want the Hudson Valley’s Jewish community to believe you, you’ll publicly denounce Zohran (not just one statement he made) and distance yourself publicly from Linda Sarsour and other radicals in your party. Anything less is political lip service and a pathetic attempt to stem the bleeding.
Our Jewish neighbors deserve to feel safe and welcome in their communities. But with antisemitism on the rise on both sides of the political spectrum here in New York and across the country, too many do not. It’s up to all of us — especially our leaders in government — to fix that.
