History repeats itself. Tyler wins the 1600 and 800 while Matty finishes 4th in the 800, AGAIN. So proud of these guys!

Last night, Tyler, Matt, and Roman all scored points at the divisional meet in the 800. They went 1, 3, 8 to give the team 17 points. I can’t think of a time when RM distance scored three people at divisionals or state in one event. Absolutely incredible!

• 50-200m float
• Work the turn
• Bring it home
His previous strategy was Go, Go, Go!
He executed the model we practiced perfectly and went from a 52 & change to a 50.6. His 200 PR is 24 flat.
Speed is a skill.

The Mtn Lions had a great day at the Chandler Invite. The ladies finished 2nd overall and were led by medalists Selah Akers and Josie Smeets! The boys were led by freshman medalist Crew Comish, who had the fastest time of the day for boys RM.

“Whipping from the Hip” is the cue that athletes can “feel what you’re saying” in regards to RFD in turning on the glutes to whip the lower limb with rapid limb speeds, creating high speed, high force collisions with the ground
To sprint you must “whip from the hip” or “Attack down from above” like @JohnPryorRugby says.
When you “attack” you increase negative foot speed or “grab velocity” @spikesonly
Grab velocity reduces ground time , which is critical to running faster.
