Looking through #Acanthaceae specimens today, I found this wonderful combination of pressing and painting. No collector name, no collection date. Does anyone recognise the handwriting?

Job done! The last remaining grey cabinets are cleared, packed and ready to go to Edinburgh Botanic Garden. I'm looking forward to seeing these in their new home later in the year.

#HerbariumBarbie has plans for the floor space.

ALT Cabinets stacked two high in the luton van and surrounded with blanket material for protection during transit.

ALT Linnaeus and Barbie contemplate the cleared area of herbarium with newly exposed walls that are painted a sort of light pink. Linnaeus says "It’s the end of an era Barbie, the last of those big grey metal cabinets have gone." and thinks "At least we still have lovely grey floors….". #HerbariumBarbie thinks "The original walls are PINK! This really IS the home of #HerbariumBarbie!" and says "Carl, if we get the floor washed, can we party? There’s plenty of room to dance!".
#Herbarium cabinets being dismantled. It's amazing how much dust can accumulate between closely stacked cabinets - how does it get in there? @Nat_SCA @TheBotanics
The cabinets will help @TheBotanics manage their growing collection now that we've moved to Solander boxes. #reuse

We have separated these ferns from the general collection to help minimise wear and tear. They are mounted on paper rather than card.

Plant Form has surprisingly little in the way of reviews, I don't think this one does it justice:

Adrian Bell's 'Plant Form. An Illustrated Guide to Flowering Plant Morphology' is top of my planty books list. It's a beautiful book and an inspiration for anyone wanting to take a closer look at plant morphology.
