If anything is made clear by our current situation it’s that we need to do a far more to teach American government, American civics, and American history to our kids.
Far too many people must not have learned the basics of American liberty when they were children, as they seem eerily okay with direct attacks on its core principles now.
We don’t use the police or military against our political opponents in this country; people have the right to disagree. No man is supposed to be above the law in this country; a president given immunity from prosecution for anything he wishes to do that he considers part of his job means we’ve turned our president into a king; the entire point of the American Revolution was to overthrow the tyranny of an absolute monarch, not create another one.
